I wasn't a big fan of Coop, bit too much of a goofball. But when he turned up with that bag of money, he instantly went into the top echelon of AVN Best Friends and I love the guy. I'd go scorched earth for him too (like someone else suggested earlier).

Im usually not a fan of these goofball characters, for example im not the biggest fan of derek form you know what.

But unlike derek, Cooper really shows and proves that he cares! Derek talks a lot and does nothing, Cooper talks a lot too but shows initative and really thinks about how he can help his friend during a tragic time.

I started to really like him after the call from allison about Lilly being in the hospital and his sudden switch from goofball to "Get in the car. I drive you there fast and you worry about your daughter." and even suggesting selling his and cammie's house for lilys treatment.

MC would be utterly fucked without cooper, he wouldnt even have started racing or having any clue how to implant his technology into cars. Cooper is such a big catalysator for so many good things happening to/with the mc.

Even his trashtalking/badmouthing of Allison is something he only does to support the mc, trying to make the mc feel less sad/terrible/guilty about the breakup painint her in a bad light even tho it was the mc who fucked up and cooper ending kinda in the crossfire due to it.

He doesnt care, he doesnt mind, he's loyal. And i think everyone wanting Cammie as a LI/lewd is disgusting lmao

Yeah i totally understand that sentiment. Tbh id be happy with atleast an extra scene with Camille. The side story option would be perfect because it would have no connection to the main story so it wouldnt affect those against this happening.. Will see what the dev ends up doing.

This my exact problem and thoughts with V as well it just doesn't sit right with me trying to make things official when she knows about Lilly so soon. Especially since the MC kind of said No to the idea about a week prior. Be much different if Lilly wasn't hurt or she waited a longer period of time as it felt too soon for me.

Yeah this, i cant see how people can see this behavior and excuse it with "well she had to wait a long time already, she wants clarification NOW", like what the fuck?

His little daughter is in a life-threatening coma since a few days and he has to come up with money for her treatment and thats the fucking moment where she needs clarification so badly?!

And even worse, she considers herself important for the MC's project and than just leaves at a time where its the most important for him to succeed because he needs the money from his project for his daughter.

How is that not utterly shitty? "You either commit to me now or i will stop supporting your project and you can look for yourself how youre gonna be able to get the funds for your daughter, fuck you, what do i care about the little bitch". Just reverse the genders and you will see how fucking creepy and disgusting that is.

But she obviously did jackshit anyway as her being absent doesnt damage the project in any way at all lol

Veronica is not evil or bad, or selfish, I would argue the MC is worst, his own daughter is in the coma, but he is fine to fuck around, but Veronica wanting realtionship is bad, especially when she didn't the know the full story for a good while.

Lily's condition is revealed to her a day or two after the accident. If you're suggesting his feelings about the relationship, it's stated they were casual as he didn't want to commit after his messy divorce.

Honestly it's quite easy for me to forget the timeline that she doesn't find out till kind of late since I do not like her. For me I only see her as selfish only because she was denied not that long ago and everything going on with the MC's life just comes across as such. Plus V does know something is wrong just not what because she does send a text or call and he kind of does push her to the side. But yeah it's not her fault she doesn't know about Lilly but the fact she still knows something does not sit right with me asking so soon.

I mean it has been stated by MC he wasn't looking for anything serious after his divorce. It seems like the relationship was casual at first but V started catching feelings, which you can choose to reciprocate after the ball. All the dates are predicated on the fact she doesn't feel like they spend enough time together, nothing to do with lifting MCs spirits.

That's be beauty of having to surmise. We don't know what her motivations are as we don't get to see her thoughts. And I'm glad I don't have that power in this game. I'm not a huge fan of games where the MC has some magical ESP and can "hear" exactly what other characters are thinking of. It leaves room for me to interpret what I read.

For me, I have my past experiences, personality, emotions, life events, and reactions to the world. Everyone else looks at the same scenario and sees something slightly or completely different. Especially as it's not clearly stated what's going on so we go with what we know. It's a very common perception thing, and why written word is so very often misunderstood.

Wow, talk about putting everyone into the same basic perception/understanding you have. Please read my above post. You're taking this way too personally for her motive which is NOT stated in black and white.

She asked for clarification long before the accident, and several other times. It's not the lynchpin catalyst you are making it out to be. I've decline her at that time, and she doesn't storm off and leave. For whatever reason, that we are not made privy to, she feels that's a good time to bring it up. She doesn't officially put things on "take a break" and leave town until you decline going on the hike with her.

But like I said in the above quote, you are reading between the lines and interpreting it one way, and I'm doing the same and coming to a slightly different conclusion. Every other person playing will get something slightly different out of it as well.

She gives no indication that she has malicious motives in what she said, and assuming motives often leads to more false assumptions than correct. That's why the written word is so often badly misinterpreted and arguments ensue.
