Nah, it's story first kind of VN. There are quite a few sex scenes but they are spread out in the story.

The racing, while important, isn't done all that often. Typically comes with a mini game where you have to upshift inside certain rpm ranges and timed choices throughout each race.

Exactly this. You can lose races, and there is no noticeable impact to the Lily story. As of what's been released thus far, it just affects how much cash you have for the app to upgrade your car. Currently you can buy one thing from the upgrade shop, but based on the story more will come.

Will losing races impact the main story? I doubt it every will as that means there'd be variations where Lily may not survive. And I don't think the author wants to go there... but that's just my guess.

The bulk of the raised money does not come from Jake. The money comes from: 1) Allie's cheque; and 2) the cash winnings that his best friend (blanking on the name) got from his race betting, to pay for the treatment.

Who knows what financial costs had to happen. Maybe she had major housing repair costs, or medical costs, or paying for private school and daycare (which costs a fucking fortune in the US). Jake hasn't been contributing a lot of money, based on his current status.

Good private schools and daycare can easily cost more than public universities here.

Yeah, I just try to ignore money in games. The economies in games are so whacked that nothing makes sense. Even in AAA games it's the same thing. Let's just pretend taxes and the cost of living are so high that a VP at a major company like that can just barely scrape by. Just pretend that everyone making less wouldn't survive.

Many executive-level and board salaries are high, but a lot of value the real value is in the things like stock options and other "intangible" (tax-wise) perks and benefits. Worst case, she'd have been able to very quickly get a bridge loan until she could cash in some stock options.

Economies, money, and value of goods/homes are, I believe, just ways to make scenes feel impactful. So each scenario is self-contained within that scene in that moment. That's why from that scene, and onwards, you never see them trying to scrimp and save their pennies. It's just life as usual.

But at some point Jake drops something like "we couldnt even get the money together if both of us would sell all our assets" so it seems like their money is mostly bound in some long-term assets and getting the money was a matter of days thing to get it started immediatly.
