An additional search conditions box comes out, in which you can select that the search is executed in a. Everywhere, b. this thread , c. this forum and d. Threads. Development Update - 05.11.2025
Hey everyone!
The last few days have been… rough, to say the least. You probably don’t know this about me, but I actually have three cats. And well, let’s just say things got way too intense around here lately.
I left a vitamin D3 tablet on the counter for just a moment (yes, autumn is hitting hard here, I definitely need those supplements!), and while I was away from the kitchen for just a moment, one of the cats, the little daredevils who love jumping on counters, managed to knock it off and eat it.
If you don’t know, vitamin D3 in high doses is extremely dangerous for cats. It can damage their kidneys and be life-threatening.
So yeah… the whole night was spent at the vet clinic, inducing vomiting, running tests, and praying everything would be okay.
All three cats had to be checked and treated (because, of course, nobody would confess who the guilty one was ). One of them, Madman, who - true to his name, hates the vet - almost destroyed the clinic and traumatized everyone involved.
They’re now on detox pastes and under observation, and we’ll do blood tests soon. I’m hopeful we managed to prevent anything serious. Please, take this as a reminder, keep your supplements far away from curious paws! It takes only seconds for something scary like that to happen.
Now, onto Race of Life! Progress is moving forward nicely, even if the last few days slowed things down a bit.
I went through the scenes again and realized I still want to polish a few of them. One major scene still needs all its renders, and a few others need some extra love before I call them done.
As for animations - this update is on a whole new level.
Previously, most animations were short, around 1-3 seconds. Now, the longest NSFW animation is a 23-second loop and the average length is between 10-20 seconds!
I still have 12 racing animations to finish (I saved those for last, so I could experiment with some new techniques). I’ve already completed 5 of them, and I’m also working on a few NSFW poses in between.
Yesterday, Joshua finished writing the Extra Scene - the hotel scene, a naughty play by the window with Maggie!
I’ll move on to creating the renders and animations for it once the beta testers start testing the main build. That’s always the perfect time for me to work on it, since this scene doesn’t rely on choices or the main storyline, so it doesn’t need as much testing on its own.
We’re slowly reaching that stage where everything needs to be finalized, connected, checked, and refined. I love this phase because it’s when I start seeing the update come together.
I know this update has been in the works for a while and you’re absolutely right. But with every release, I end up learning something new, pushing quality further, and trying new things we’ve never had in Race of Life before. I hope you’ll notice the difference when you play it.

Now few words from Joshua:
Well, the bonus script has just been finished, and the beta team have gone over the whole episode script looking for errors. When you see the finished product and notice that it has so few spelling or logic errors, it’s due in no small way to their diligence. They do an amazing job, and our beta team is one of the reasons the end product is as polished as it is.
Other than that, it’s been a big few weeks. Formula 1 has continued, with the title going down to the wire. The last few races were at terrible times for me in Australia, and so is Brazil, but Vegas is a lot more convenient, so I’ll be in the discord channel for that one. The penultimate round in Qatar is at 3am, but if the championship goes down to that race (which it probably will) I’ll just take the Monday off and set my alarm… Or stay up… Not sure which. Abhu Dhabi will be on at midnight, so that’s OK.
I’m also a bit of a baseball fan, so watching the World Series has been great fun. An incredible series by two teams that really turned up and put on a show. I think a lot of Toronto (and non-Dodgers) fans will be a little sour now, but i think that this is one of the series that we’ll look back on in awe about how well these two teams competed. It was very tight, clean and exciting baseball. A few calls or choices going one way or the other could have had a totally different winner, but in the end, it was as exciting a series as I’ve ever seen.
So, now that the script is done, my part in the dev process is greatly reduced, so while I wait for the next outline, I’ll spend some time reading up on... well… smut, I guess.
For that, I’d like to poll you guys.
What are some lewd stories you think I should read?
I don’t care if it’s Mills and Boon, Smutty romance, Fan Fiction or a thread on fetlife, as long as it’s text, let me know and I’ll see if I can add it to my list, as long as it’s somewhat relevant to the slice of life style I write here, so no aliens, tentacles, furries, or demons. And definitely no Jane Austen. I know some people adore her work, but I just can’t. I’ve tried, but it’s just not my jam.
Oh, and nothing you’ve written yourself, please. Even if it’s awesome, I’d rather not read it because it just causes issues. I might have written something similar already, and you might feel like I ripped you off, even if I didn’t and can prove it, it just adds to the headaches for all involved. So let’s avoid that problem entirely and stick to stuff that’s already out there.
So that’s all from me. The next episode has some really impactful scenes, some new revelations, and as always, some racing, some tension, and some crazy, hot, intense, mind-blowing sex.

I will say, this is maybe my fave VN out there, siamler to another college based game I have enjoyed for years. One down side of that is just like that other Dev, the development time has gone through the roof, That being said, this game along with that other one basically are packed with content
Imo the development time is even (way) worse ... it looks bad if you compare the render/year counts, even worse when you compare animations too and eeeven worse if you dont count all the non-canon extra scenes.
But at the same time it (imo) has an even higher potential, for me they are not necessarily the best but they are he two most immersive games (for different reasons) and have great characters and relationship development.
Race of life could take the throne but it kinda seems to take too long to ever reach that spot
The game is really great, I have finished the game more than once, but some items in the gallery are closed (10-19-23-24) how can I get these scenes by playing? When I install the cheat mod, my game crashes (due to the language difference)

It's a very large and detailed game, so it takes time to produce new updates. This is one where you should largely be expecting one a year, and if there's a second it's just a happy incident.

so, as far as i understand, act 1 is complete, and the next update will like the first part of act 2? asking cause i usualy buy the acts or seasons of the games when they are complete, il rather suport the dev that way rather than a monthly sub on patreon (im to poor for that)

Yeah, I think it at least in the renders/animations area it already has. Interested to see what this next update has with improvements they mentioned
