Allie acknowledges that their marriage wasn't a good one, neither were happy. Staying together because you have a kid is a sure-fire way to raise them in a toxic and resentful environment. They should have split prior to the affair.

Was the MC wrong for having an affair? Absolutely.
Can I understand why he did it? Yes.

The MC felt unloved and here comes a woman who throws herself at him, all so she could leverage it and boost her career. Nobody is advocating cheating, but sometimes despair takes over and you do anything to feel something, especially after years of unhappiness.

I think we have a different view of the range of potential marriages. Staying together for a kid doesn't inherently make the marriage toxic, that only happens if the couple insist on blaming the other for the problems yet refuse to step away. The impression I get from Allison's side is that things were a lot less hostile than that.

And at the risk of belaboring the point, I can't really take the MC's need for affection too seriously when I've seen how he treated Veronica. Yeah, I get that the situation is different, but the way her thinks about her - and discusses her with Cooper - does not jibe with a man who was starving for tenderness. It does, however, jibe with a guy who missed wild sex and had begun to resent his wife for going domestic.

That's a big part of why I was so annoyed at the focus on how horny the MC made Allison in this update.

The way their marriage was (no intimacy, no communication) would definitely devolve into toxicity. MC states he should have found a marriage councillor sooner, so it sounds like the writing was already on the wall regarding separation.

The way I read the Veronica relationship is that MC is fairly reluctant to commit because his previous committal ended up loveless and he has more to think about than jumping feet first into something. He has to take into account how his daughter would feel, navigate how the ex-wife will feel about V around her daughter.

As for Allie's feelings, she is seeing the MC as he was when she first met him. He is driven to achieve his goals, which currently align with hers. She sees the work he has made on his project, heard about the training with Ham to improve his chances at racing, all in the pursuit of helping their daughter. #1 Maggie - woman you can only dream of, absolutely stunning outside and great inside.
#2 Veronica - I love how devoted she is to MC, and I (as MC) am grateful for everything V has done for him, it's really tough choice for me between Maggie/V

She is super sus.

She seems more interested in getting closer to the tech and gaming the MC/others than actually connecting with them. Smells like espionage considering she is trained in languages and seduction.

Of course the marriage falling apart is probably on both of them, thats how its usually is.

Yet it seemed like allie went for the confrontation to adress their problems while Jake ducked away, closed his eyes and just prayed for divine intervention. And i dont know, maybe im oldschool but hes the man, take care of your fucking relationship or end it when your wife seems unable to divorce you/break up. So i would at least give it a 60/40 towards allie but it doesnt really matter.

Its okay to not work anymore after a time in a relationship but even than its just not okay to cheat before ending it.

Yeah the hatefuck is awesome, i just dont like the aftermath at all. I will never understand people claiming allie is prude when shes obviously a wildcat with her man lol. The wedding night extra scene was hot too



By the way as im always trashtalking Veronica, im playing a cheating on Veronica route atm for completion and i have to admit that her cuckquean path is kinda funny and hot!

Funnily enough if it was me in this situation I would also label it a 60/40 split. But as an outsider I can't really fault them unequally, especially not when there's a kid in the mix. I could see myself making the same mistake of not addressing problems in the relationship if I saw it hurting my kid. Granted I wouldn't let it get nearly as bad for as long as the MC did.

On the aftermath, the fallout might be bad *for now*. I could see that shifting in the future, depending on if and how the MC grows as a person. She might shift her opinion of him too.

Well damn, I might have to try that Cuckqueen path myself now. Something to look forward to.

only difference between your list and mine I put V in the same column as Alexa, Kris might make her way there soon I started to dislike Kris more in this update with how she responds if you turn down the threesome.

I mean Maggie is good, sometimes a bit too damsel in distress-y, but enjoyable. Looks after MC when Lily has the accident.

I feel going into the future there will be a lot more Jas. She's in his class, works on the project, shares common interest in racing.

I don't think she'll budge Allison from top spot though

Okay, here's mine. I might be a V advocate, but she actually isn't my #1.

1. Maggie. Face and soul of an angel. One of my favourite models in all AVNdom, and #8 in my Top-10 rating across all games. However, Jake isn't the best guy for her and, when around her, he doesn't feel like himself. So, she isn't my 'canonical' choice.
2. Veronica. I just love how she looks at Jake… among other things.
3. Allison. Probably my favourite character and person in the game, but as a LI, she falls flat to me. I just don't think she should ever completely forgive Jake for what he did.
4. Jasmine. I like her dialogue, she can be hilarious sometimes… But otherwise completely not my type of gal.
5. Natalya. I hope she's a spy and will turn out an antagonist unless the player focuses on her and converts her with Jake's magic cock. Otherwise she loses a lot as a character, even if that makes her a somewhat better LI.

HM: Alexa. I still think she would look more logical as Jake's lab assistant while Jasmine could just be his racing partner. She's the A student, c'mon...

Yeah their problems are somewhat relatable which makes their breakup/relationship very realistic imo

Its 100% wrong to not adress the problems in your marriage and to just ignore them but at the same time there are reasons while people can be mentally (or otherwise) exhausted/overwhelmed/swamped or whatever

And nah, unfortunaly i think the hatefuck is a deadend for the allison route, Allie burning the wedding picture which she kept on her wall even two years after their bad breakup is a strong symbolic that she was finally able to get over Jake.

You literally have to play Jake as the biggest possible asshole ever - including stuff like blaming the mother of his child for an accident she couldnt do anything about - to get allison to be able to get over jake.

As I said, I don't really trust the MC's framing, especially at the start of the game. The fact that Allison doesn't debate his statement doesn't automatically make the statement valid.

But that aside, just because the two of them weren't really affectionate anymore doesn't mean they're as good as divorced. The two could have still gone through the motions in a more business-like manner, cooperating on official matters (Lily most obviously) but drifting apart otherwise. I wouldn't describe that as dead, though it clearly would die eventually, likely once Lily grew up.

To my mind, that's a very different situation from the MC not only starting an affair with a mutual coworker, but trying to brazen it out once Allison caught wind of it. YMMV.

I think the relationship was already bad before the cheating happened and there was no "brazening it out", i think Allie immediatly divorced Jake when she found out.

I believe that their intimacy died down sooner than that but thats just normal when a relationship turns bad and nobody tries to fix it.

The MC's excuses are just bullshit tho "he started cheating to forget how badly he was ignoring their problems" and "was ignoring their problems to always get one more day as a family". Maybe dont cheat with your co-worker if you want more family days lol? Or try to fix your marriage or do literally anything?

It really really baffles me how many posters here excuse his behavior just because they dislike allison, all these people would HATE a LI who would have behaved like that (like if allison had cheated on Jake ...).

Allison and Jake's mindset were very different regarding their relationship imo, they both were aware that things were bad but imo Allison simply never entertained the idea of a possible breakup/divorce and even less a blatant betrayal of trust.

And imo even after she divorced Jake she wasnt able to accept that they are done and wont get back together. I think she felt forced to divorce him yet at the same time expected/hoped he would make it somehow up to her while she probably doesnt even knew herself how that would be possible. Jake not doing anything about it and her still not being able to get over him made her even more sad/angry/pissed i think.

I kinda like how contradictory she is as its so obvious that shes only deluding herself but doesnt want at all what she keeps saying.

This is said by her quite early in the avn (even before jake did anything to make their relationship better) and while she told him, that he should stay away from her:



Nobody who wants to be left alone and is done with the other one would say/want/expect something like that and she does it only because shes emotional and hides her feelings less due to it. Same with her ring and the wedding pictures.


But anyway and about the whole Veronica and Allison "trashtalking here":

I think its great when LI's are polarizing yet still loved by many. Flaws make these characters and storys more realistic and IMO race of life manages to potray it in a believable way. Everyone has at least kind of reasons for their behavior and its not like some dumb tv shows with drama just for the sake of drama.

I dislike Veronica but think its great that shes part of this avn and enriches this avn. I think so far she gives this avn more than for example Maggie who i like way more but is just kinda boring and bland so far and doesnt has a lot going for her other than being a damsel in distress.

I think (not counting her handjob scene which was strange) there is no way anyone could even dislike maggie as shes just so .. i dunno ... not much there other than being pretty and supportive?
