My (unmodded) saves from the end of 3.1 don't work on 1.02. When I load they give me the end of end of episode 3.2 screen and rolling back takes me to a black screen with no way to roll back further. Is there any way to unfuck this? No way in hell am I playing through 6 paths again

There was Renp'y engine and code changes iirc....this was known well in advance of hitting Steam. There was also an annoying bug on the phone depending on whan your saves were last made.

It is what it is....it really doesn't take that long to redo a save if skipping through using TAB.

You have to be there on your own, which means you don't call Allie to go with you (probably because you're on the Allie Bad path and have burnt your bridges with her).

Not required. Neutral is perfectly fine (which is the path most likely on if stayed behind the very first time to chat and not take Allie home to gain the first 2 points with her).

Right, as Maviarab says. As long as you aren't on her Hate path, you'll have the option to invite Allie to go with you. Just don't invite her. If you are on her Hate path, you shouldn't get the opportunity to invite her, although I personally have never really liked that path much so I'll defer to the experts.

Allie has 3 "states", if you can call them that:

• Hate path: This results in one lewd scene when she invites you to her house for dinner. But cuts off her LI path permanently, I believe;
• Neutral: Acquaintances or perhaps friends; and
• Reconciliation: Working towards, and starting, her LI path

For some of the Kalani scenes, I believe you also need to be on her 'path'. In that you've spent every opportunity you can with her to talk and have tea. I presume you've also done this? I think there's 2-3 scenes you can get with her before this chance, but not sure if they all are required... would have to check the code later.

Positive path is the correct term used by the dev, not reconcilliation. Pedantic I know but it helps we're all speaking the same language to avoid confusion.

You need 8 points to kiss Kalani iirc, so yes, you need to hit every objective with her to the detriment of Allie, which as I said, should put you on the neutral path with her.

Just a little mini-review. While I love the art, the writing, especially the humor and the characters, I just got to the mc thinking they saw Wyatt, who I assume is behind the break in at Allison's and maybe even Lily's accident. I know these are real life issues but that is not what I am looking for in these games. I go to them to escape the drama of real life, which is why I gravitate towards happy go lucky harem or single romance games, with only comedic drama.

So even though I have to give kudos to the dev(s) for the style, characters and writing, this will be a nope for me. I also loved Acting Lessons until it tore me heart out. I am not taking that kind of chance again. Gimme the escapism of simple single romance or drama free harem games.

I will say one more thing before I exit, Amen to this...

The first srtaw was Allison coming back to the park to get Lily, telling about the house being broken into. Lily's "accident" nearly made me quit right then but I saw it as a possible way for the mc and Allison to possibly reconnect but it really had my hackles raised. As soon as I saw the "Wyatt" scene the following morning, that was the last straw.

I don't like to give up too early but those three things in rapid succession was enough for me to bail.

Not trying to discourage anyone else, as I said, it seems like a great game, for those that like well written drama with a good side of comedy. That just isn't what I am looking for, I just wish more of the devs that make my type of game(everything above minus the drama), were as good at writing. I have found a few but too far in between, imo.

Daughter needs urgent care, mega expensive...need money now...I know...I'll go illegal underground road racing where I could end up dead in a ditch. Just work on the fucking battery project....but then the MC is dumb as fucking bricks, academia aside...

Virtually every VN these days has to have some dumb ass crime/mafia/mob element...it's a damn joke. The story would not suffer at all without it. But hey, the dev wanted to make Fast & Furious 74 with more romance elements. It is what it is....so...there you go. You either accept the absurdity of the plot or you don't.
