in real life it can never happen even a 1st grade would know that man i was just putting my thoughts regarding the path of the game and the story of the game and as you said its fictional so ther shouldn't be any problem as i said i was only discussing dude chill man you look like someone who had that experience in real life chill man
I mean... there are rare cases where it works out. It isn't entirely hopeless in real life just highly unlikely. Hey, it will be nice and wholesome to fix the relationship and I like it. I am definitely going to do it too in a playthrough.

I mean, she looks more Latina than English.
Yeah, as others have pointed out, she's not saying she is a professor who is English, she's saying she's a professor who teaches English. The line before this is "My thesis always sounds like it was written by a geriatric gibbon with an acute allergy to English." - so she responds to say it's lucky he ran into her, because English is literally her department. There are several other lines where she mentions being part of the English department (e.g., MC: "I always thought there was a rivalry between the English department and the library." / Veronica: "Psh. We create the art. They just store it for us.") and her bio/description in the MC's phone says: "English Professor at Hanford's. We started hooking up about six months ago."

None of these are instances where you would generally insert your nationality, even if it's not the same as the country you're in. If you're Chinese and you teach physics, you would say "I'm a physics professor", not "I'm a Chinese professor."

Plus, as was pointed out while I was typing this, she's presumably Chilean - Veronica: "Please. I was raised in a Chilean household. Chilean women invented the jealous Latina stereotype."

You... you do realize that English is the course she teaches, right? Not her nationality; the game takes place in America, and she's stated to have family in Canada.

As a side note, not that it's particularly relevant but I'll say it anyway, you can be Hispanic and British at the same time. Nationality and ethnic background are not mutually exclusive. Just like how white people can be born in South America, Africa and Asia.
My bad
So she was talking about an English-language professor rather than an English person?
Well, based on her last name, Monroe, I looked up the origins of the name and found that it goes back to Scotland and Ireland. So my statement is correct that she is British because of the name, even if her parents are from Canada, since Canada follows the British Crown as part of the Commonwealth.

Well, putting aside that you got her last name wrong(it's Moreno, not Monroe), that's not even remotely how nationality works, but that's getting off topic now, so I'm just going to leave it.

Where does it say her parents are from Canada? Her sister is in Canada (but not necessarily from Canada), and there's the bits posted above about being raised in a Chilean household, too.

Having family in Canada does not make her, or said family, from Canada. I mean, think of it in reverse: Veronica's sister has a sister in America; does this make her from America?

What's actually stated in the game is that (if you split from her) she visits her sister in Canada. That doesn't mean any of her family was born there. It can mean (and from other bits that have been mentioned, likely does) that her sister is currently living in Canada, despite not being Canadian.

Guys, enough of the debate... Veronica is a woman of Native American descent whose ancestors were colonized by the British in the 1800s, hence the British name and the skin color from her ancestors... I hope everyone calms down... ;)

Ooh ! I think I know what is happening. As she is a Latina (IDK why somebody here said she was Brit...go figure), you non-latino people find her clingy perhaps but for those of us who know how to deal with these type of women, let me tell you , she is top. Latino tend to be more accomodating of this type of character, so that is why probable many of you who aren't don't find her appealing.
