might as well go complain on all the other games that do the same as well. Since that's all you ever do is complain. At least this is one of the few games where 1 year usually means a good amount of content and doesn't really feel super short.
People know they are not just paying for the game but donating basically to it's development? You can pause payments till new content comes out. Nothing is forced. I don't understand how it is a bad method. I've seen a bunch of complainers lately also. This one in particular is one of my favorites. I don't feel bad giving money I can afford to give to help them out.

There is some truth in that but also people are lazy and will always take the easiest way and even if you go back 5+ years you'd see the same behavior. People keep doing this because it works, simple as that, why work harder when you can work smarter? Let's say you really put in the work and create a lot of content, you could release it all as one update every other month... or you could release it as content twice a year or even once a year and people would still pay out.
You're vastly underestimating how long it takes to make content. As a solo artist, it takes me an entire day to make about 10-20 renders. There's just no possible way to make a quality update every other month.
Some devs accomplish this by hiring a team and having an assembly line system, such as College Kings, and the quality turns to shit.

Race of Life has about 700 subscribers. Not sure how much money they make but there is at least a writer and artist to pay, neither are making "thousands of dollars", doubtful they are able to do this as a full time job.
How many hours can you render scenes after you work 8+ hours at a regular job, come home, spend time with your friends/family, eat, do chores, then maybe have a few hours to work on your game before sleep?

People simply need to pause their Patreon payments and stop worrying about exactly when an update comes out and enjoy Adult Visual Novels for what they are. A niche art form which exists almost completely independently of corporate control. This means irregular updates and sometimes games that get abandoned... but it also means amazing games like Race of Life get to do what they want with their vision.

All the other responses make good points. I'll add a single thought, stop complaining about paying for something if you're on a pirate site!
Yeah, I guarantee the vast majority of the whiners have never given a dime to any dev, regardless of output frequency, so the fact that they feel entitled to faster releases of a product they're mooching and think they know better than the people making those products is just hysterical to me. If it's really so easy to churn out high-quality porn games every few months and make bank maybe they should try their hand at it.

Where do you think all those failed and abandoned game projects are coming from? :HideThePain: Clearly some of them actually thought they could pull it off, but soon failed miserably and/or realized how much time and effort it actually takes and how little of the donations is left after all the fees, taxes and expenses. Figured they might make more money working as a janitor for lesser effort, stress and number of complaints. :WeSmart:

• Voice work:
Only two girls have their voices done so far. Several more still need theirs.
This part is out of my hands - I rely on other creators and Voice Actors, and I can’t pressure them too much. I also started this whole voice-pipeline a bit too late, even though I had many attempts and conversations before. Only in the past month have we really pushed forward in a serious, organized way.
My hope is that once the network is built, future updates will get their audio much earlier and this won’t cause delays anymore.
Just wondering what percentage of people play with voices turned on  ,because I always turn it off
And idk, maybe it's just me but VAs who work with the porn are usually low tier and I can't really take them seriously
If it's about dialogues,I guess it's the same problem for everyone that you read much faster than the voice line goes
If it's about moaning,I'm fine without them:unsure:
Anyways, lack of Jasmine makes me think about bs like this:ROFLMAO:
P.S. Jasmine is the best girl

I only turn voices off if it's only moaning , can't stand moans if that is the only sound / voice over most of the time as most games make them way to loud and playing on a surround sound system don't want moans to be heard all the way in the Kitchen :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:. Now if they aren't too loud i'll leave them on
