Well, from spending some time on Discord, it's clear that they won't be changing course. It's also a bit of an echo chamber too where there's not a great deal of criticism and feedback and the one section that's quite active right now is derailed frequently with off-topic stuff and emoji dumps.
I do see it, and trust me when I say that I share the same fear that this game will start making bad decisions with regards to the track of the story and what will happen with certain characters, but I'm trying to retain a sense of optimism here because there are a lot of good aspects here, not just the character models. I've been here before with games that had shaky starts but have gotten better over time, especially when the dev starts to open themselves up to constructive feedback and criticism, which I hope will happen here eventually.
As you say, people will vote with their money, and maybe this is what will open them up to new ideas and a possible course correction, especially since they've both bet all their chips on it.

Seriously would love to play Radiant if it was to have that type of dark path. Right now, with the length of time between updates, I am less interested than I was before the new update.

The 1st release, introduced a semi-unique take in that we had what appeared to be a good guy MC, being reunited with 3 gorgeous young daughters. Was he going to seduce them? Were they going to seduce him? Were they going to be a 'normal' (given this is a porn game), family? Where does this creepy cop come from all of a sudden and WTF is his issue anyway? Why does the Russian chick, look the same age or younger even, than the MC? A turn down a dark path, is probably not going to sit well with many. It takes away from what made the 1st release so compelling, and has kept us waiting, and waiting, and waiting for 7 months?, for this update.
Now, it's the Dev's game for sure and he/she/they are as always, entitled to go with the game wherever they want. But if I am trying to make money marketing to X demographic, I am not going to refuse to provide what they want to pay for. j/s...

COMPLETE agreement over just letting Maddie take the shower not fitting the Dark Path. Not at all. As antagonistic as she has been? I can see him saying; no. my shower and I have to go to work I'm showering. If you wanna join me... (of course, she wouldn't, at least not yet. She'd get pissed and stomp off to the other shower, while the thought bubble in her head was wrestling between anger and wantoness)

The existence of a negative reaction is not justification for removal. Nor is it proof it's a bad choice. This forum likes to freak out constantly over the most minor of things, so it's nearly impossible to take any of it seriously, even when the concerns are legitimate. With how often people here cry the sky is falling, I'd expect to have at least seen some hail.
Just have him walk outside to his bug saying "Ive got you now cunt" and tthhhhhhhhhhhwap. A bus hits him.
