Good story is debatable. Ch1 was good, they tried to be dramatic and attracted lots of people. But then in the next ones, it's porn trope after porn trope, all girls attracted to MC's magic dick, ridiculous antagonist, and so on.

DISCORD UPDATE FROM SIRDAMMED

"I imagine some of you are right now with it being so late in the month of August... especially those of you who don't have access to Patreon to see the last few posts/comments I've made regarding what's going on. So I wanted to announce this here to help quell some of those worries.

Radiant Ch4 is currently in early-alpha. In a couple of days, I'll have it in a state that I can send to our alpha testers. 1-2 days after that, the chapter should reach beta, which is the version I'll release on Patreon for further testing (light testing-- mostly checking for typos or grammatical issues, as I'm not a fan of releasing broken or buggy builds to Patreon).

Just wanted to thank you all for being patient and for your support. This chapter took fucking forever, and I'm not proud of that... but there's some light at the end of the tunnel:

It is by far the largest chapter of the game that we've done, being more than double the size of Chapter 1, and having twice the amount of animations of any previous chapter. Going forward, I can do nothing but promise that updates will be more consistent and come much faster-- which I don't expect anyone to blindly believe, but I do ask that you just wait and see."

Bear in mind that Chapter 1, even if you read every word, could be finished within one hour if you read fast.

So in four or five days, their patrons will allegedly have it.

Alorth does the visuals, renders and animations. Dammed does everything else.

I have to agree with you. Played the game a short while ago and unfortunately have not seen any advances in the story progression. This is a shame as the characters are so well defined and interesting.

why are there still so much support for this game and this dev has 1000 patreons , why do they do this?

My guesstimate is that many supporters really, really like the Discord vibe. I doubt the wallpapers are all that popular, but I wouldn't be shocked otherwise.
A game I supported--Estate Dominate--will reach 2 years without an update next month. That game has the extra spice going for it. Super-duper monthly wallpapers as well as the cult-like Discord.

So in a "couple of days" it will be released to alpha testers, then 1-2 days after that beta will be released to Patreon. So that puts us around 27 August... With the previous promises made and actual timelines seen in this thread, I'm assuming that means we'll see it, maybe, by October?

A lot of folks seem frustrated and I get it. This is what I propose - I will support each time a new update comes out for one month. Then I will cancel until the next update. That way I am still supporting the dev, but not throwing money at something that is not moving. I saw what seemed to be derogatory comments about the dev spending money on his Dogs surgery...damn dude I would have done the same. My pets are family and they come first so if they needed money I would get it wherever I could don't say you wouldn't do the same. (I just spent 600+ on my cat only to watch him pass within a week of spending the money) Anyway I understand the frustration, you can see in my signature that Radiant is in my top two games so yeah its crazy frustrating not getting updates but like I said I wont complain, instead I will be judicious with my money and encourage progress with support when I see it and only then. Cheer up guys there are like a thousand games on this site and more coming all the time. If you don't get what you want from one dev. Keep looking.

Don't mean to sound like I am lecturing. I am just trying to get all the negativity to turn around. Focus on what you have and can get, it makes life a lot easier.
