Good art, good story, now he just collects from Patreon to produce nothing. Just another abandoned game.this title started out SO well and with such HUGE promise/potential. Since then? Yeah...
I think at this point we have to realize that Sir Damned has been lyig for over a year. NOTHING is coming.View attachment 2001897
Forget about April/May its coming in August for sure guys, this time he means it.
Good story is debatable. Ch1 was good, they tried to be dramatic and attracted lots of people. But then in the next ones, it's porn trope after porn trope, all girls attracted to MC's magic dick, ridiculous antagonist, and so on.Good art, good story, now he just collects from Patreon to produce nothing. Just another abandoned game.
Seems legitDISCORD UPDATE FROM SIRDAMMED
"I imagine some of you are right now with it being so late in the month of August... especially those of you who don't have access to Patreon to see the last few posts/comments I've made regarding what's going on. So I wanted to announce this here to help quell some of those worries.
Radiant Ch4 is currently in early-alpha. In a couple of days, I'll have it in a state that I can send to our alpha testers. 1-2 days after that, the chapter should reach beta, which is the version I'll release on Patreon for further testing (light testing-- mostly checking for typos or grammatical issues, as I'm not a fan of releasing broken or buggy builds to Patreon).
Just wanted to thank you all for being patient and for your support. This chapter took fucking forever, and I'm not proud of that... but there's some light at the end of the tunnel:
It is by far the largest chapter of the game that we've done, being more than double the size of Chapter 1, and having twice the amount of animations of any previous chapter. Going forward, I can do nothing but promise that updates will be more consistent and come much faster-- which I don't expect anyone to blindly believe, but I do ask that you just wait and see."
Alorth does the visuals, renders and animations. Dammed does everything else.So can someone enlighten me what other guy does, lets say sirscamdamn does the "writing" and coding, which leaves us with renders right. Or is it free for all you do you, Ill do me, which would somewhat explain current affairs.
I have to agree with you. Played the game a short while ago and unfortunately have not seen any advances in the story progression. This is a shame as the characters are so well defined and interesting. No amount of content is going to feel worth the delay, unfortunately.
Colleges tell the professors, publish or perish. Same concept, publish or your income ends.Because less money means more productivity right?
That would hurt some projects, but this one?I suppose anything's worth a shot but I wouldn't be surprised if it has the opposite effect.
Let me know when you can see Irony tooI'll believe it when I see it.
My guesstimate is that many supporters really, really like the Discord vibe. I doubt the wallpapers are all that popular, but I wouldn't be shocked otherwise.why are there still so much support for this game and this dev has 1000 patreons , why do they do this?
Yeah, hello, goodbye to another damned deadline! So in a "couple of days" it will be released to alpha testers, then 1-2 days after that beta will be released to Patreon. So that puts us around 27 August... With the previous promises made and actual timelines seen in this thread, I'm assuming that means we'll see it, maybe, by October?
I pointed out a while ago that Dammed himself said this what we should be doing if we want to support Radiant. Sort of a "pay per update" thing which I could have sworn Patreon allows creators to go for. This is what I propose - I will support each time a new update comes out for one month. Then I will cancel until the next update. That way I am still supporting the dev, but not throwing money at something that is not moving.
Yes you got facepalmed... and rightly so.I pointed out a while ago that Dammed himself said this what we should be doing if we want to support Radiant. Sort of a "pay per update" thing which I could have sworn Patreon allows creators to go for.
And I got facepalmed for it.
