with the income you mentioned of $6.5K per month, they can easily buy a workstation from monthly contributions (that's what I would do with my first income) so they can continue to work normallyDon't know how many workstations Alorth and his artists have.
But even leaving aside that DPC makes arround 4-5 times the amount of content per update, this game still only got half the number of updates.
Golden words! It's a very bad idea to start an AVN without a clear plot plan, hoping "we'll figure it out as we go along".Obviously it was an impulsive "good idea" without a plan for how to proceed later
With more and more characters, the game and programming get complicated and if you don't have a plan and a template to work by, and if you depend on "inspiration" 99% of the time it ends in a fiasco
Have you ever tried to write a novel or story?Golden words! It's a very bad idea to start an AVN without a clear plot plan, hoping "we'll figure it out as we go along".
But in this case, there aren't many routes and LI, and the plot is simple and straightforward, so it's just SirD's laziness. I'm actually surprised at HOW you can get stuck writing here. He doesn't have this problem on twitter and discord...
You make a good point, of course. Anyone who writes has had to deal with this sort of thing. BUT. None of these stuck things take a year. Which begs the question, why is it happening now? The answer is simple - SirD has only recently started working, and now he's in a time crunch, and it makes perfect sense that he'd get stuck.Have you ever tried to write a novel or story?
You have a good idea, and you know what you need to write, but when you start writing ....
The problem arises because you need to write and describe the idea well, and then you start writing, you write the first chapter which is great on the level of Tolkien or J. K. Rowling, and then the next chapter looks like "garbage", and then you stop and look and try again and stop because you have no idea what to do next to make it that good
*
But to be honest, I'm not saying you're wrong, laziness is one more factor in screenwriting

Yeah, cite Martin as an example. SirD's work can hardly be compared to them. It's a porn game with an unpretentious plot. Very uncomplicated. If he's stuck with it for a year... I don't know, maybe he should do something else. Like delivering pizzas.*Patrick Rothfuss enters chat*
really, pizza delivery?Yeah, cite Martin as an example. SirD's work can hardly be compared to them. It's a porn game with an unpretentious plot. Very uncomplicated. If he's stuck with it for a year... I don't know, maybe he should do something else. Like delivering pizzas.
Yeah, i don't see that working out...customers are expecting that the pizza will be delivered punctual.really, pizza delivery?
I think that pizzeria would go out of business quickly![]()
AVN-Milker on Patreon...Yeah, i don't see that working out...customers are expecting that the pizza will be delivered punctual.
But then, what jobs are there where you don't need to work 2/3 of the year, aren't hold responsible for fucking up repeatedly and somehow still getting paid generously![]()
Oh, come on:really, pizza delivery?

So they are lovers of stale pizza?Oh, come on:

The queue at the Radiant Pizzeria. Most of them have been there since August 2024. They continue to order (and pay for) even though SirD has failed to deliver. The guy in the blue shirt says: "I don't understand why everyone is blaming SirD, Chief Alorth is no better. He said in December that he still hadn't baked 50 pizza bases...".
And you say he's going out of business...
