The last time I saw him talking about polarity, he said that he intends to still finish it at some point. It's kind of hard to believe since he can't even be consistent with this game.

I mean, it's what ? 4-5 years and as you said, if they continue like this, even radiant won't be finished within the next decade...and Dammed sure as hell ain't capable of working on 2 games at the same time.

It was a while ago probably more than 6 months. I don't remember if it was on his server or the server of another dev but I remember someone asking about polarity and he said that he will finish it at some point.

Yea.. I don't see that game ever being finished. It lost most of the support it had on patreon and the game looks super outdated now, I don't really see new players being interested in it.

This game is pulling close to 5k a month on Patreon alone and it hasn't had an update in how long? People are stupid! If they continue to pay him for nothing then he will never finish it. 3 months 15000 bucks for nothing......... or for going stupid on X

To be fair, he has to share that money with alorth so at best he is getting 2.5k per month.

I remember people in this thread getting upset at me for being negative when I said he'd probably start delaying updates again. I was hoping I'd be wrong, but here we are. I expect Radiant to get one update every 10-15 months. Anything faster than that is a pleasant surprise. I have absolutely zero faith that this game will ever get a proper ending, but I'll enjoy the ride for however long updates keep coming.

Which is still pretty damned decent, all things considered. I only see around 2400 after taxes myself, and my body is getting beat up every day on the job. If I could have people throwing money at me and all I had to do was some light Python work and rendering, that would be awesome.

Alas, I am total shit with things like Daz and such.

Yeah, I'm really going to trust a dev that never meets his guidelines, not to mention that he's still receiving money on his Polarity Patreon till today without doing anything there.

The only good thing on this game are the renders, done by Alorth. Anything else, story and writing is the most bland thing possible. Even the overview on this thread has 0 originality.

No release date yet, but the last anyone has said on discord is that its with the play testers now.

My mistake, apparently this was just a rumor that someone on the discord started. Still no word of a release date or status.

Not sure why people still believe in this liar dev. How many times has he said he'll be faster? He spends the majority of his time on twitter yelling about politics in games.

This dude claims he has 20 chapters planned with 1-3 epilogues. Who the hell wants to wait another 16 years to finish a porn game?

Not to mention, SirD doesn't even do the renders, all he does is write and maybe code. There's no excuse for it to take this long to develop an AVN. This ain't a 3d UE5 game or some shit like that.

I'm as frustrated as anyone with the delays and missed deadlines but I really like this game and still hope it progresses. And if people want to spend their money on his Patreon... let them.

Nah I call out poor dev behavior when I see it. I don't think he deserves the money. I used to be a sub too when I believed in the project. It's obvious the dev is just milking people for cash at this point. I frankly don't expect the game to ever complete. People's lives will change over 2 decades. Who waits on an AVN for that long?

Maybe i'll be seen as too soft, but:
Has anyone told D that burnout is OK, and that he just needs to stop thinking about all the stuff and just do it? I feel like he's just a dreamer who burns out easy, then falls into escapism forever until he's kicked again.
The approach I see a lot of people wanting to take here is, "he's basically a lolcow. Stop feeding him so much or he won't produce. Starve him so he works," (which i see the point of,) and even more people just angry and calling him a scammer.
Idk the guy. Can't say he's not. But, what I do see is a person who doesn't stick to his plans, fails to meet deadlines after promises, and distracts himself with bs instead of fulfilling obligations.
That all reads as what some would say is manchild, or someone with no work ethic. But it looks a lot like severe ADHD and a penchant to burning out and giving up slowly all while denying its happening.
