Feel bad for the dude in NK...why he would risk a life sentence in a labor camp is just insane. And why is it the vast majority of game dev's have a mental breakdown...I hear that reason so much it's becoming as sus as the old covid excuses.
Game development especially on your own can be brutal you get lost in a vaccumm of working to hard and sprinting to the next update. It can be the end of you real quick. I have been in software development for over 20 years and have seen dozens of suicides and mental health crisis issues hit people who otherwise looked fine.

people listen too much to the complainers. I used to write fanfic and "you can't please everyone" is something people need to learn early on. The only person who really needs to like your product is you, people will come and stay eventually.

I have to admit that this system is bad. He doesn't motivate to work at all. I've never been a subscriber. I bought a completed game several times. Money for goods. Easy. This can be modified so that when the update appears, we pay. There is no payment for waiting.

Surely the real reason he does fuck all is because he got way too much money too early, with no real recourse if he doesn't work. He probably made 40k from his share last year doing literally nothing at all. The closest he got to any actual pushback was from Alorth making an empty threat. That lost all power though because he immediately backtracked.
it's quite obvious IMO that Alorth will never bite the hand that feeds him despite how terrible that is for his business in the long term. As of right now Sir D is his meal ticket. Which is pretty fucking retarded for him to not actually push back harder because once this game dies out it's going to be hard for him to regain that credibility in anything he does in the future. He's second hand getting his brand name drug through the mud from Sir D playing twitter all day.
I'd say the only chance we have of actually getting through to him would be to try and be the voice of reason to Alorth, which again unfortunately seems to fall on deaf ears.

I went back and checked, it took him 1 month to turn a pink heart red, 2 total months. If you factor in Sir D's history of dilly dallying we aren't getting the update any time soon, even if hell froze over and he actually did work on the game like he should be doing.
