And of his share of the earnings. The game will only die if Alorth gets tired of SirD's bullshit.
He's entitled to it. Alorth is putting in much more work than SarD seems to be.And of his share of the earnings.
Sancho's Custom Mouse Cursor Removal Toolhow TF do i get rid of that huge mouse pointer in the game ?
True, but still... We have a saying where I'm from "The dog doesn't leave the butcher's".He's entitled to it. Alorth is putting in much more work than SarD seems to be.
I have always been a supporter of money for goods/work. Prepaying has never been a good solution. The funny part is that current subscribers actually allows devs to keep delaying coz they still have a nice salary for doing nothing and they only gonna go back to work on it when they want/need more money
If people only paid for each update, most devs would not be able to do this for a living. The current system has flaws, the biggest one is that people like SirD will just keep taking money without releasing anything. But at the end of the day it's people's responsability to cancel their subs.Paying per update, instead of monthly, would be a much more honest system.
But I'm not paying at all, so I can't complain.
Well, this does raise the question of whether or not you deserve to make a full living off of posing some naked DAZ models every few months. If people only paid for each update, most devs would not be able to do this for a living.
I am pretty sure making a game like this is more complex than that lol. If you don't think that people don't really deserve to make a living for games like that is fine. But if they didn't make money with their games we would not have adult games to play. There aren't really many people willing to make this games for free.Well, this does raise the question of whether or not you deserve to make a full living off of posing some naked DAZ models every few months.
Only the first release is at your own risk. You get money for them. You can safely do the next update. And the payoff again. The more often you update, the more you earn. It's a motivating system. And everyone is happy. Both dev and audience.I am pretty sure making a game like this is more complex than that lol. I'm one of the ones who pays for the full game when it's done (did it for Chasing Sunsets, Deliverance, Acting Lessons, Leap of Faith, Once in a Lifetime, Melody, and a handful of others), but you're right - most games would not survive to completion without loyal subscribers. I think that this is why some games that have long development cycles (like Being a DIK and Intertwined) have fan bases that grumble about the development time, but ultimately are happy to provide financial or morale support to the developers, since the devs make sure to keep the patrons regularly updated on progress. If people only paid for each update, most devs would not be able to do this for a living. This 'model' of support does not work for those who are trying to create AVNs for a living.Only the first release is at your own risk. You get money for them. You can safely do the next update. And the payoff again. The more often you update, the more you earn. It's a motivating system. And everyone is happy. Both dev and audience.
have you searched ?Does anyone have the last couple months wallpapers?
Alorth already threatened to leave once. This was when SarD was busy eating SE's arse because he couldn't shut up about FFXVI. The massive delay and constant deadline missing really honked Alorth. The threat to leave the project FORCED SarD to get back to work.True, but still... We have a saying where I'm from "The dog doesn't leave the butcher's".
