Had a couple of Italian friends in high school who loved being called Guido. so no discrimination here just facts.
Nobody knows, but the next release was supposed to be just around the corner. Of course, that was also true in December, when apparently it just needed some QA and polish.

Reading the thread really helps. The dev posted a Patreon update within the past two weeks.
are we actually going to get an update before the end of January? Who knows. But this is somehow a less useful post than the Italian jokes

Does anyone still believe that at that point? I for one am just waiting for the next excuse, which, judging for sir jammed's history, should come somewhere around April.
I don’t think he’ll even post the excuse until end of February, when he’ll say the update will be posted by beginning of March.. and so the cycle will start again

For anyone curious the next update report will be in April.
Their pattern is very easy to figure out.
They will do these "forced" progress reports every 3 months in order to avoid the abandoned tag on F95 and most likely to avoid having Patreon suspend their payments.
Feel free to check their previous reports and see that they follow a very set schedule.
Last time Alorth got hit with the abandoned tag he panicked and scrambled to get something out on F95 in order to get it removed.
So it most likely did harm him if people saw the abandon tag and stopped their subscriptions.

The abandoned tag needs a serious rework imo. Just because the dev is posting fake progress reports doesn't mean he should keep his active status after almost a year of nothing.

Sadly that is the reworked version of the rule that allows games to be milked more easily.
It used to be that a game had to release an update within 6 months of the previous otherwise it would get the abandoned tag, regardless if dev logs were posted or if an update was near.
The rule is now extremely lenient towards grifting since a game only needs to release an update every 18 months, or release a dev log every 3 months.

I get the frustration with this Dev. I really do. I don’t understand the cries of “milking.” It is only milking if you continue to sub the dev. I stopped well over a year ago. If someone wants to waste their money, that’s their issue. No one is forcing them to sub. Site designation or tag won’t really change a subs mind.
