Not only does he have to test his own hand-written script, he also has to test images sent by Alorth (byte-wise), the Renpy engine and Windows. The latter has recently been updated, so he has to test it again. We can only praise him for his diligence and stop complaining about the lack of release.

Yes, ofc, bc it's not like the dev that put off doing an afternoons work for a week wouldn't have decide to stretch that to 2-3 weeks (Hey, there were more holidays coming after all!!!), realize he spent too much money during the holidays and then failed to send the proper amount of renders or, due to now having to rush, sent him a handful of renders that weren't even close to being up to par. No, we have to blame one of the two, and not the one who unintentionally admitted to being the one actively screwing over development at the time.

If the mods are going to delete any criticism or back and forth in regards to Alorth's role in this games struggles, they should at least be consistent in doing it for both parties. It's ridiculous that this games update got delayed for 5 months, when it was originally projected to only take 5 months to begin with, and then failed to deliver after the whole 10 months. Both devs actions are massive issues and we wouldn't be where we are today if not for BOTH devs failures.

If this update is at all functional, I wish they'd just release it and get the kinks worked out in the next week or two. Even if that means some of the renders aren't up to par or are outright missing. Sadly, BOTH devs are staying mum. SirD is neither more, nor less active on X than he has been since the night of the VGA's. There has been talk that Alorth tends to be more vocal once his work on it has wrapped, and that hasn't happened, which could mean that there were issues with the renders. Or it could mean he's finally focused bc he's so far behind on both of "his" games and potentially even his contract work. And it's ridiculous to continue to blame one party when we know both are responsible for this.

It certainly won't. This update has already taken twice as long as intended and that was for reworks. There was never even a mention of incorporating additional content to compensate for the delays, and I wouldn't expect it under the circumstances. If it were a coding error, they certainly could have the additional story/renders and even most of the code in place, but it was the story. That very well could've impacted the story moving forward, too. Which, hopefully, SirD worked out while he was spending so much time waiting for Alorth to get the renders sent over. If not...

Hello again everyone. I'm dropping in with this month's wallpapers and a quick/brief update about our progress. The good news first: finally done redoing what needed to be done. The bad news last: it's going to take me just a few more days to actually get it into your hands.
I promise I'm not just sitting on my thumbs over here, I've been working extremely hard on this basically day and night without that much in the way of breaks since my last announcement, and will continue to do so over these next few days until it's literally on your hard drives.
Before I wrap this up, I want to reiterate that, typically when these delays happen, you guys do get something out of the ordeal. The last big scene of the chapter, for example, basically ended up doubling in size and I was able to get it to a place that I'm really happy with: with more choices, much more compelling dialogue, and some lewd content you all will definitely love. The way it was prior to me rewriting was abysmal by comparison.
Anyways, in the meantime... I'll be on Discord chatting here-and-there in case anyone needs me. Thanks for your patience, I'll see you guys in a few days, and I love you all.

Not saying Alorth is blameless, some choices like that artist he hired from North Korea are hard to believe at best...

But maybe, just maybe, it was like dammed said himself, he decided to remake several scenes new and extended some...which requiered new renders. And yeah, sorry some people like to spend their holidays without work, their family or friends. Even more so if said work comes just one or 2 days before holidays, after Dammed did god knows what for for the better part of the year...
Also what difference do make a couple of days off, for holidays, at this point ?
Not like the game is already late for half a year...or Dammed was already finished with his part and just waited for a couple of renders from Alorth...not even Dammed claims that.

Oh no! Is it the 25th? When they said they would release the update after they missed the deadline after 4 months? Bummer, three days from now they will release a progress report that will say "sorry for the delay, we know we said this end of this month! it will be out on the 3rd." That way all the paetron charges go through on the 1st, process on the third, and they'll release it on the 5th so you can't charge back, and, just to fuck with you. And your dumb-ass fell for it for a 6th time.
