this game has really slow dev time, with mediocre scenes most of the time. Not really worth the wait. Sir Damn is also just too lazy. Just a hour of new content every year is really bad.

All paraphrased so to all the people hung up on the technicals, get off my ass lol, but this is how my memory serves me.

March 2024 (End of Ch. 6 release): "We are making good progress and staying on track Ch. 7 is scheduled for July to maintain a 3-4 month release schedule."

July 2024: "Hey guys we know we said July, but it looks like August, ONE MORE MONTH! NO REPEATS OF THE PAST WE'RE CHANGED DEVS! we will keep you updated."

*Nothing for a few months*

November 2024: "Hey guys, we're working REALLY HARD to get the update out, it will come out soon lmao."

December 2024: "Had a few setbacks, but we are working on getting the update out to the testers and will be released to you shortly."

January 2025: "Hey guys, I didn't like the way the Chapter was written so I re-wrote approximately 20% and that will be out to testers and in your hands before the end of the month."

February 2025: "I have writers block... feel bad for me... give me money... wahhhhh"

something like that.
yeah now he will go on rinse and repeat mode... this trsh developer

Don't know how many workstations Alorth and his artists have.
But even leaving aside that DPC makes arround 4-5 times the amount of content per update, this game still only got half the number of updates.
with the income you mentioned of $6.5K per month, they can easily buy a workstation from monthly contributions (that's what I would do with my first income) so they can continue to work normally

I think the problem here, like with most games, was a bad script (lack of any script before programming)
The game went its own way, until new characters, neighbors and friends appeared
Obviously it was an impulsive "good idea" without a plan for how to proceed later
With more and more characters, the game and programming get complicated and if you don't have a plan and a template to work by, and if you depend on "inspiration" 99% of the time it ends in a fiasco
And I think that's what happened here
They hit a "wall" and have no idea how to get out of the "problem" of introducing additional characters with some coherent story
The same thing happened with "Limitless", too many characters and now the game has become a "monster" for programming and maintenance

Golden words! It's a very bad idea to start an AVN without a clear plot plan, hoping "we'll figure it out as we go along".
But in this case, there aren't many routes and LI, and the plot is simple and straightforward, so it's just SirD's laziness. I'm actually surprised at HOW you can get stuck writing here. He doesn't have this problem on twitter and discord...

Have you ever tried to write a novel or story?
You have a good idea, and you know what you need to write, but when you start writing ....
The problem arises because you need to write and describe the idea well, and then you start writing, you write the first chapter which is great on the level of Tolkien or J. K. Rowling, and then the next chapter looks like "garbage", and then you stop and look and try again and stop because you have no idea what to do next to make it that good

But to be honest, I'm not saying you're wrong, laziness is one more factor in screenwriting

You make a good point, of course. Anyone who writes has had to deal with this sort of thing. BUT. None of these stuck things take a year. Which begs the question, why is it happening now? The answer is simple - SirD has only recently started working, and now he's in a time crunch, and it makes perfect sense that he'd get stuck.
