Also, I'm fairly certain he said episode 8 and the next were supposed to mainly be about Maddison. Surely he would not post two updates back to back focused on side characters that each took an entire year to make.

If Jade does reappear at a later stage of the story, she might mention to the protagonist she's got a 9-month surprise inside of her or something like that. Brooke will announce hers sometime later, and he still has to help Rachel with her plan (and find a way to not be murdered by Cole once the future mother confirms her pregnancy, or who's the father of that child).

Am I the only one having issues saving photos from here? Everytime I try to save them they default to aif format, and even when I change them to jpg or png format the image won't open and says its corrupted or something. Am I just stupid and doing something wrong?

When I open images from the site in a new tab, then appear in normal format for me. The first one from the message you quoted was a .png, and it opened in the new tab fine as a .png. Might be only certain images for you coming up as .aif, or it might be your browser (or a plugin).

What are you using for browser your images are probably saving as Avif , if you use Firefox you can add extension that will save webP as PNG or JPEG

I am using Firefox, so I'll check for that extension and see if that does it.
Edit: Yup! Found the extension and that did the trick, thank you so much! This had been vexing me for a bit haha

She was supposed to be the focus of the next few updates but you can't trust literally anything that comes out of Sir D's mouth.

It looks like now unfortunately the update is going to be centered around Vanessa.

He stated earlier that the next update was to be about Allison and her modelling career. Some of the other story arcs will also be progressed. In chapter 9 we should see the Maddy and the MC go to Leah's concert.
He's telling a story - Maddy will come to the fore in due course.

sir delusional has made a lot of claims over the years including what will be in the next update and when the update will occur. Nothing he says can be taken at face value anymore
