Except that's not what that is. Beggars can't be choosers, more like. Your example doesn't even work as a simile because the developer didn't offer to paint your house for you. In that example, he paints his own house and you can look at his work for free.
And yes, if someone would paint your house for free your grounds for complaining about the job done are rather limited. I think the dynamics aren't too complicated, but then I read posts like yours and oh god...

People should stop saying SirD is a scammer. He's not, he is just trying to prove how stupid people are. People keep paying for his product for whatever reasons. He could be lazy, he could lie, he could sit there enjoy his vacation for 9 months and only do 3 months work but you guys still pay for him the whole year. He is proving that he still got money for not doing his work. Isn't this everyone also dreamed of?

Congratulations, SirD! Over a year of waiting for an update shorter than a loading screen. Truly a masterpiece in the fine art of milking monthly subs for minimal effort ! At this point, supporting this project requires the IQ and commitment of a premium-grade pigeon 
This update was to small for such a long wait. The lenght of this update would be acceptable for a 3 month wait time, no more than that. I guess i will die of old age before seeing Maddie Chapters 8 and 9.
There's also just a straight up rape scene with one of the LIs if you are on her dark path, make certain choices, and have the "true patch" installed.
It's completely avoidable however, which is why I've only ever heard about it. No way I'm doing that to Liv.

Lots of f95 members support devs financially. We're just smart enough to know how many scammers there are and we watch games here first before handing over our hard earned money. So many self righteous posters here who think that none of us ever support developers. And smart developers engage members here because they know that. This clown will never get one cent from me. Currently I'm supporting Sinful Summer among a handful of other games and the developer is very active on that thread. He just respectfully asks us not to leak his updates for a month when he makes it freely available and I've honoured that.
They seemed to set it up well for Maddie to get another spanking in version 8, which is great since Maddie's spankings have been the highlight of this game. On the other hand, I know that I will probably need to wait about a year for that to happen, which is the opposite of great.
It sounds like in version 8 the MC will go on a date with Maddie, so in addition to a possible spanking, maybe he will get to fuck her then as he previously did
