I just want to say that I agree with both sides here.
Yes, Nyl is amazing and probably one of the top 5 blender porn creators ever as far as skill is concerned. No one doubts that. But let's be real... This is porn. Sometimes 10 seconds loops just don't cut it for porn. Roach does 2 and 3 minute videos which, let's be honest, fit better for what porn should be.
I also question Nyl's enthusiasm for his work sometimes. He is literally making $30,000 a month. That's $360,000 a year. You're telling me that he can't hire some other creators for like $10,000 a month to help him make content? Or at least help set up a lot of preliminary stuff for a 2 to 3 minute video? He would still be making good money and have a steady stream of videos each month on top of that. With the money he is making, he could have been a full blender porn studio at this point! I didn't include Patreon fees in my equation but the highest I have seen is 12 percent, which would still leave a nice chunk of change for Nyl each month when all is said and done.
I thought the Bordello would rekindle his enthusiasm. And I think they did at first. I mean compare Bordello 1-3 to the rest of his output. There is some really great stuff in there. But now he appears to have gotten stuck with some technical issues and the momentum he had going on kind of fizzled.
It's a shame because I feel he is capable of making some really great stuff but is held back for whatever reason.
