Just finished 02, now i can play the long awaited 03! And then we just have Rance X left
Sadly i missed like three CGS, i grinded all the way to 40 because i couldn't beat final boss lol.

Basically, 02 Kai remade the script and slight gameplay changes, while 02 without kai kept everything the same besides the graphics. Hope this helps.

It says on the wiki that Rance 2 Kai is v1.02 but after downloading the Kai installer from here and promptly installing it. I looked at the .txt file and it says v1.01???

The wiki says the last patch, KaiKai is not officially translated and I see no link here for a fan translation. Its a shame because I always like having the latest version of a game. KaiKai is v1.20

There are 3 Rance02 version:

Rance 02 - regular version, has updated art but stays to true original game both in terms of lore and gameplay, having almost 0 edits. If you want to see how game originally looked then you want this. Not worth it if you only want to play one tme.
Available on english.

Rance 02 Kai - 'game revisioned' patch(in our case preinstalled version of the game) to include all changes they wanted to make to suit the lore all the way up to Rance X as those changed a few things as games went along.
This is a HEAVY edit of the game AND moderate edit to the gameplay.
This is the recommended version to play for english speakers who want to experience entirety of Rance(excluding Kichikuou which is essentially a very old version of what would Rance X look like)
English version of 'Kai' patch aka mangagamer aka patch you have in this thread has some changes from KaiKai patch as well.

Rance 02 KaiKai - 'final patch' includes a few more lore changes and quite a few gameplay balance tweaks. It's more of a gameplay patch basically, so don't worry too much that you skip it if you are in it for lore. It does cover a few details you wouldn't know until later but nothing important you really need to know.
In terms of gameplay it's a pretty heavy rebalance of things as well as adding quite a few extra secret loot to some previously useless places.
This is the recommended patch but it's only for those who can speak Japanese since this patch has no translation.

TLDR:
As english speaker - play Rance 02 Kai and move on.

Whenever there is 1 result(or honestly even under 50%) - it's pretty much guaranteed to be a false positive, don't worry.
In this game it's probably certain AV not enjoying the method used for cracking or fanpatching or whatever else of the game.

You will often find such false positives in cracked games in general. That's something a lot of AV don't enjoy as similar actions could cause something bad on your PC. But as long as you are downloading remotely known media from a well known website - you are pretty much guaranteed to be safe.

Zilya in particular is a very unreliable Ukrainian antivirus that's more of a malware than actual malware at this point. A lot of things you program yourself will end up as trojans in the eyes of that AV.
