I am writing how I managed to run this prehistoric crap on Windows 11 24H2.

1)Changed the locale to Japanese.

2)Downloaded and installed DirectX 9.0c from here

You must be registered to see the links

2.1)Downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 (x86 and x64) from here

You must be registered to see the links

2.2)Downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 (x86 and x64) from here

You must be registered to see the links

2.3)Downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x86 and x64) from here

You must be registered to see the links

3)Enabled .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows Features.

4)Downloaded, unpacked the RapeLay archive using 7-zip.

5) Mounted the image and installed the game in a previously manually created folder C:\Illusion\RapeLay

6) In the game folder, in the properties of the shortcut (RapeLay English.exe) enabled compatibility with Windows 7.

7) Downloaded and copied to the game folder (where RapeLay English.exe is located) DLL from DXVK (x32 folder, d3d9.dll)

You must be registered to see the links

8) At this stage, you can already play, BUT I WANT SUBTITLES!

9) In this case, in the properties of the previously copied DXVK DLL, change the name from d3d9.dll to d3d9_alt.dll

10) Download the archive from here https://f95zone.to/threads/rapelay-final-illusion.3115/post-15454366

11) Copy to the game folder (where RapeLay English.exe is located) ONLY:

a) d3d9.dll - DLL required for displaying and operating subtitles.
b) Subtitle.cfg - configuration file containing subtitle display settings.
c) subtitles.txt - text file containing character lines.

12) Launch RapeLay English.exe and select CFG button in the window.

13) In the Subtitles column, click add files and select subtitles.txt in our game folder

14) Using the Up button, raise our subtitles.txt to the top and save.

15) Now we always launch the game through RapeLay English.exe and select Subs button in the window.

16) That's it, I hope this will help some faded soul launch this game.

Are you using Winlator? I tried it but the game never opened on FBO mode and backbuffer breaks the girl models (defaults to T-POSE). Same with Sexy Beach 3.

for the whole body I don't know, that's an issue I never experience myself.
But for the dick piercing through the female character I believe it doesn't exist any fix, most illusion's games made around the same year of this one have the same problem.

Still I don’t know if it's mod related or game related, but in the later games that kind of stuff stoped to happen

This is still one of the more fun and replayable games illusion putout. Not too complex but complex enough. And I like the system they used to have (in Interact Play too) where positions flowed into each other and you used the environment.

Friend, here's the thing.
It seems I didn't express myself very clearly in the guide.
I suggest you delete all previous DLLs and the x32 folder with them before this.
1. Downloaded DXVK from the link, copied and pasted its DLL (Only d3d9.dll from the x32 folder, you DO NOT NEED to copy the x32 folder itself) to where RapeLay.exe is located.
2. Renamed it from d3d9.dll to d3d9_alt.dll.
3. Downloaded the archive with subtitles from the link.
4. From this archive, copied and pasted ONLY d3d9.dll, Subtitle.cfg, subtitles.txt to where RapeLay.exe is located (you DO NOT NEED to copy d3d9_alt.dll from this archive).
5. Then follow the main guide.
6. If the problem persists, then just google the error code 0xc000007b.
