I'm kind of curious to try this out, but I wonder, is it worth it? Seems like there's a lot of BS you have to do to get it running (I'm on Win10 if that matters)

The game is basically early-Illusion jank, with all the good and bad that entails.
If you played and liked the AG series games, you'll probably like this one and won't have too much trouble.
If you liked the AA or newer series games, I'd give it a solid 50/50 on whether you click or not with the game.
When I launch the game it goes into fullscreen eventhough I set it to run as windowed and then it's just a blackscreen. Only way to get out of to restart or Sign out of windows. I disabled all monitors so the game actually launches but it doesn't seem to be doing anything, even after loading for 2 Minutes
Edit: After the fix on page 35 I got it to have the Subs button, clicking on it results in the game launching but it crashes shortly after. Changing compatibilitymode doesn't do anything, disabling all monitors still results in the same thing

can someone help me with a steo by step program to this shit, i downloaded the game yet and unzipped it, yet the only fucking thing i see is RLENG.iso, no exe i keep seeing people talk about, anyone help?
ISO means it's a disk image, so you have to mount it with something like Daemon Tools.
From the OP:
alr i did it but whenever i press " play RL " it just sends me to a black screen then back to the folder like nothing even happened

Don't forget to turn off any extra monitors you have.
It's 50/50 whether it works on a computer with 2+ monitors, I know it certainly doesn't for me when my second monitor is turned on.
with it both on or off, it still results in a crash. I can get the game to launch but 1-2 seconds after I launch it with the "Subs" button it closes itself
Soooo, I can get the Launcher up with the "subs" and "cfg" button. As soon as I press any of the options an error pops up that says something along the lines of "The operation settings file could not be read, so the operation settings will be initialized". I have no idea what that means, maybe it's just bad google translation. I can click "Ok" on it, results in the game launching but crashing right after, I'm even getting crashlogs (can't open them sadly). When I get that popup when pressing settings and exit out of settings, all of the buttons are unresponsive and I need to close the game via TaskManager. Changing the Language of Windows, changing the Launching properties and disabling/disabling DirectPlay and 3.5 Framework doesn't change anything and results in the same thing.
Note: I'm also using Locale Emulator to launch the "Rapelay-English.exe" in Japanese, otherwise the error is full of numbers and random signs. (doesn't change anything about the launching behaviour though, still crashes almost instantly)
