George311 .. i can confirm it works, went through having to download the whole game yet again just to check. simply look through your Ravager folder for any .bat files and the appID text file, should be harmless to remove, if there is any.
i recommend not copying this version over any older ones, to prevent crashes due to old remains.
i would say this fix will work only for now, as it seems very clear to me that someone who is responsible for the whole Steam check is following this thread. the next version will possibly scan for .cmd files, too. when that happens, i'm certain there are other ways to go around Steam, which they will respond to with even more checks, which will find their workaround as well.
that spiral is as old as software copyright protection.
