Where in the game did it tell you you get to control everything that happens? You only address point A while pretending all the other points don't exist.
Where in the game did it tell you that you will get malice / cataclysm from elf fucking? nowhere, this is spoilers and metagaming.
Where in the game did it tell you that taking malice will mean that much much much later you will suddenly lose Marie-Anne? Nowhere. spoilers and metagaming.
You expect people to be time travellers from the future who read the wiki in full before playing a game.
And then call them "short sighted" for both not doing so in advance and also for wanting a complete harem.
At least when you sacrificed a girl to the deep ones, hell, or wizard then it told you upfront you will be sacrificing a girl to them. It told you which girl will be sacrificed. And it let you choose whether to sacrifice her or not.
And you either hadn't had her for long, or had not even gotten her yet.
Making it an upfront choice.
Finally. This is explicitly a harem game. I know a thing or two about harem games.
I can absolutely say that it is a bad choice for a harem game to force you lose some girls by surprise for flimsy justifications.
You might not agree, and its ok, you are allowed to have blatantly wrong opinions.
Where in ANY store does the writer tell you they will change the narrative to fit your whims?
I don't expect anyone to know what is going to happen in a story. That is why we keep reading/watching. We want to see what happens.
It's not a harem game. It's a Dragon harem game with shockingly in-depth and consistent narrative/lore.
