What are people using to circumvent having to run steam?

they only bothered to put DRM on the windows executable

alternatively, you can just use an old exe for this game from before they put in drm.

Here's an old exe-file to circumvent the DRM. Just replace the new one with this. It seems to work.

this is because all updates between versions are in the /game/ folder.
the rest of it is just the renpy engine stuff. so you can easily revert to an older exe from before the drm and it will work just fine with the new content in the /game/ folder

I mean thank you of course but the game DOES NOT START even with the DRM remover unfortunatelly just like the guy said a few posts prior you just get the loading screen then the game closes.

.....I'm gonna to be honest. I'm not even sure how to feel about that. Like I saw her changes. The story/cataclysm will continue on. So not sure why I'm surprised about things getting weird, considering what it is.... yet here I am. I don't know.
