VN Ren'Py Ravenous [Arc 2 Ep.16 Beta] [Lament Entertainment]

Meh. Unless the heavy drug use is a very recent development used a a copng mechanism after living through some serious shit (TBH already implied in this game) I think he is fine as an occasional bout of comic relief but not confident he would be all that interesting as a star of the show.

It's been established that's an act due to his paranoia. His drug use is primarily marijuana, and it's far from heavy. It's a valid pharmaceutical and recreational drug that helps many people with anxiety, pain, and seizures. I smoke it myself occasionally for chronic pain and anxiety. It hasn't affected my intelligence in any meaningful manner nor do I become paranoid. He's actually quite smart and always comes through when his friends need him. I would welcome a spin-off with him as the star of the show. It would also give players the opportunity to see how the adult women look as teens and young adults.

I have to agree with @ jI11jaCksjAkk on this one; his character never struck me as particularly interesting, strong, or appealing (especially for the ladies). He'd be a hard sell as an easy-sex recipient. Probably better options available, maybe even someone who died and was eaten prior to Ravenous as a MC.

It would also give players the opportunity to see how the adult women look as teens and young adults.

As a perv, I do have to agree with this portion. I'd really like to see mid-to-late teens in the story, as well as very young adults covering many of the older ones in Ravenous. Couple that with age and name editing ability, and it'd be a perfect prequel.

I really would like to know how they ended up in their current state. Lou could very well be the dad of the sisters. He and Agatha could've had an affair leading to the birth of the sisters and Agatha moved to Hollowbrook later. He may have followed her/them to reunite with his daughters but couldn't find them due to them being turned into dolls or their spirits being bound to the dolls in order to save their lives. She could be hiding their existence from Eve or Azza. So now he's there searching for his long lost daughters while feigning stupidity to keep a low profile. I'm just spit-balling here, but I think it would make for a good prequel and allow us to see in real time what actually happened to the sisters.

Lou was younger, he still had long hair and leather jacket. came into town on a motorcycle, with a girl on the bqack that he "save" also, lets just say that Lou has calmed down now, as well.

Hollowbrook was full of crime and The Family has just started.

Theresa's past as well as isabella would be a part of it. among other familiar things. things.

I really had put a lot together for it, but ultimately decided to go with Ashwood.

The dolls backstory will come to light in Arc 3, as well.

I could see a story with him in his youth, but it would have to be a bit of a tragic story a la Anakin Skywalker: terrible loss(es) that change him from the poonhound he would have to be as the focus character in an AVN into someone who retreats to heavy drug use and isolation. He may be redeemed and return to the world as part of the final arc in this story, but the ending of his prequel story would have to be a huge downer like Revenge of the Sith to explain/be consistent with how he is when we meet him in Ravenous.

I forgot. I haven't played the first arc in a while and I'm horrible with names. I meant Lou. Guess I was wrong. I apologize. I was just thinking off the top of my head and I had forgotten she was imprisoned. Oops. Sooo looking forward to the dolls' backstory. I'm excited for arc 3. Chapter 17 was excellent. I think the other players will enjoy it as much as I did.

True. I get your point. Some pretty shitty stuff had to happen to him in the past for him to be how he is now, but Ravenous is somewhat tragic also. He seems defeated, like his past haunts him. Apparently, he's calmed down from the man he used to be. Maybe the redemption path would have been the way to go. He probably did some horrible shit when he was younger, experienced some horrible shit or both, then ended up in Hollowbrook looking for a new beginning and a way to turn his life around.
