I'd really love to know why. For you, what makes it a better choice? The reason I loathe it is that I have to use an external program to fullscreen the game without it fist fucking every single monitor I have.
I mean, why doesn't ALT + Enter work for you? It works for me just fine, lol. And it always has for games using this older ver of the engine. Lossless Scaling the tool (on Steam and elsewhere) is still great tho, so might be preferable anyway.

Because Windows is as dogshit as the engine and scrambles everything on my three monitors every time. I already covered that I'm aware you can use a program. Nothing screams "Relaxing jack off time" like jumping through hoops to run a game on a needlessly antiquated engine.
Did you even try to find a way ? It took me 2 minutes looking at the options, I saw that F3 was not working so I pressed the other F key just to see and tadaaa F1 shows this option :
Calm down, I only said that Lossless Scaling is good anyway only because it actively scales the game, so it's really good for stuff like pixel-based games and drawings at higher resolutions once you set it up right. You shouldn't NEED it though, ALT + Enter always works for me and always has worked and I've been using the older RPGM engines forever, as I'm very deep in the indie cult horror community whose best classics still use the old engine too.
