They are definitely going to have some problems with Rockstar's legal team if they don't back down on some of their asset usage. In the trailer on their Patreon site, at around 45 seconds in you can see three cars in a garage that are literally ripped directly from GTA:Online. From right to left:

I play a *lot* of GTA:Online so I recognized these vehicles immediately. I have zero doubt that other people will also, and if one wrong person reports that to R* then the project is in hot water.

Don't get me wrong, I want a quality GTA-style porn game as much as everyone else and this looks really promising, but if they're using stolen assets the project won't get far at all.

Not modded GTA, Different engine. Also not to toot my own horn but I've been working with the Unreal Engine since 1998. Creating something like this tech demo in Unreal, The engine itself is easy to get and with a couple of tutorials anyone can start making basic levels and scenes in no time. It really comes down to time and dedication. As for this game its really ambitious. Interesting to see what will come of it.

That ain't gonna happen its using a 64 engine. You gonna have to get with the times you about half a decade behind... I don't want to be mean but a game like this is gonna use a new game engine not renpy...

64 bit vs 32 bit isn't a half a decade, but almost two decades. The x86-64 architecture first came out in 2003 and 2004 for AMD and Intel, respectively.

Fuck, if these guys continue on, they will just beat the good old Bonetown, although according to the schedule, they have already surpassed it. We are waiting for the full release, it will be awesome game, especially because professionals are already working on it.

I don't really think they are directly ripped. If you didn't know, GTA has based their vehicles on real world cars
For one, the Audi R9 is an Audi, not an Obey, you can clearly see that Sunbays R9 has the full Audi logo while R* uses the cropped logo, so I guess you could say that R* are the once who 'ripped' the cars
