It seems the dev's reply has been deleted, but I see from other responses that they said:

"Until now, the MC has been fully reliant on Valerie, Rena and the various side characters. So, I felt it was necessary for their character arc to prove they can overcome threats by themselves, especially as the MC's role is to protect Valerie."​

In this update they proved the opposite: Their first attempt to free the elf was incredibly stupid, doomed to failure, and predictably needed someone else to save them from certain death. While their second attempt was also incredibly stupid, doomed to failure, and predictably needed someone else to save them from certain death.

Everything they did by themselves took unnecessary risks and made the situation worse. If there's such a thing as competence porn, this was the opposite: Just watching one sad loser repeatedly fuck up and refusing to learn from their mistakes.

That the MC also comes across as a whingy little kid throwing a tantrum throughout doesn't help. Demanding that Oruth apologize before he dies was just childish.

Not currently.

Since Valerie is a succubus, she isn't capable of becoming pregnant through sex with humans, but this is something that could change later in the story. A female protagonist, or one of the upcoming female companions, can definitely become pregnant through creampies, however.

I think you misjudge its standard. The writing is pretty average and I didn't expected better. It's more obvious with their other game. While everyone can write, not everyone is a good writer. No offence, I'm not better. Renders and graphic style are nice though

Nice game. I loved the looks of the girls. Beautiful, all of them. Pretty and slender, just like I like them to be. Indoors of the house was also magnificent. I loved those "Hobbit" doors and doorways and all pretty carved furnitures.

Story was interesting, but there was some problems. Bit more random encounters while in the city would have made the place look busier. Now it often looked like an empty city when they moved around. My favourite part was perhaps the talks with the elf.

I didn't the way they got the house. I wish there would have been more honest way of getting it. Like digging up some old treasure to pay the house, with the help of Succubus's magic. Or go to "Robin Hood" way, steal from the rich, instead of robbing house from what looked like normal upper class citizen. I hope that that doesn't come back to bite them.

And the gang boss... I facepalmed to MC's stupidity so many times during that. How about choice of taking all girls to fight. Elf looked like she could take care of herself and she certainly had motivation for helping. How about choice of not getting separated, there was no need for that. And choice on whether to use magic first, and not to trust your two weeks sword training against gang boss whose position likely depends on him being the best fighter of them all, someone who having been one of the nobles was likely trained in swordplay from the young age by the best swordsmen available.

But even with that critique, I loved the game. Setting was really interesting, with all those varied countries to visit. With different people and cultures. Cliffhanger in the end was also great.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm making some changes and improvements to the Act 2 climax as part of the 0.9 release. New scenes and dialogue, rewritten dialogue in a few instances, the ability to tell Valerie about the first plan and have her wait outside - stuff like that which should make the overall experience much smoother and less frustrating.

v0.9 will also add a scene gallery, Steam achievements, the first sex scene with Rena, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm also working on a town map screen where players can spend their off-days with a heroine or side character of their choosing.

Play it if you want to see what the fuss is about, but as the dev is planning to make changes to it anyway you might as well just hang on to your previous save and wait for the adjusted version.

I am not fussed, I mean I love the game but if it is getting a rewrite..

What is childish? Could you explain? What is childish is what you think is childish? Are you sure you're not the child after all?

Violence is bad (no matter the reason) and I should feel bad if I did violence (doesn't matter that it was life or death). That is one example. The fact that the same exact internal monologue happens after your choice either way really paints the MC as a clueless naive idiot who didn't just go through a fight to the death (his and possibly Oruth's depending on your choice).

All that aside, the cringe dialog was spread thickly throughout. It gave me the impression of a teen writing fanfic for an anime they watched. The MC was spouting some heavy simp dialog as well.

Plus I think the ideas of a succubus getting their energy by drinking semen is more plausible than drinking vagina fluid? That and I think male vs female sex scenes is hotter than pure lesbian. Unless the female protag can fuck other man?

I 'm playing as female, as I figured it would have a lot of lesbian scenes and so far it seems to be the case.

It's also one of the few games where a succubus is even capable of having sex with a female and not growing a dick or some such nonsense so it's almost mandatory at that point to play female (ok not mandatory but hopefully my point makes sense)

All in all, I'm not disappointed in this game or it's direction. I really like how Rena is presented and the choices you need to make involving her.

Yeah hopefully you're not letting the critique get to you too much. It really didn't feel too rushed to me.

You received critique for how "rushed" it became and how the MC acted with Oruth but it's not like he/she had plenty of time to act before the elf would be sold. It was also a good chance to prove themselves to Valerie that they can do their job as a protector. I don't know. I didn't see much fault in it.

btw these feel like to tier decisions. That whole presentation before deciding whether to forgive Rena or what to do with Ourth was wow.

and having the choice on whether it's ok for the love interest to be allowed an open relationship rather than it being unrealistically one sided, was a nice touch. Hopefully it will be with a few females. lol

I'll be releasing a 0.8.1 update in the next few days. This will be free for all users, and will include several new scenes, new choices, and dialogue and story changes.



After this, I will probably be limiting my activity on F95 and focusing on the Steam release. Thanks to everyone for the support and feedback, and I hope you will like the changes brought in 0.8.1.
