Also, Valerie always allows you to be with other characters even if you only want it to be one-sided. You do have the option to refuse this as well so monogamy is also optional.

Yeah, there are a bunch of possibilities - monogamous, poly, swinging, or fully open relationship, with even more variants within those.
With poly alone you can either have both the MC and Val be with the other main girls, have Val as one member of the MC's harem (ie she's only with the MC), or even have the MC become part of VAL's harem, which is a very rare option that I appreciate being included.

Both, either, or neither. I think that there may also be an option to only see partners that you share like your close friends.
