In fact, in most lore I've read is supposed to be several times more pleasurable than human sex, after all they do have heightened sense, a blood addiction that is supposed to be better than any possible drug and they are overall supernatural entities that don't get tired even, in the natural way.

So, in the end, I don't see your point. If you ask me, vampire sex sounds like absolutely fantastic!

I saw someone mention using blood ....... blood isn't a lubricant, it dries too quickly and is incredibly uncomfortable, take it from someone who bleeds 1 week a month.

That's a matter of opinion though. Personally for me I'd say it's more to do with backstory/lore in the story's universe and a certain amount of immersion / understanding of what is going on.
And so..No, I don't think wanting to understand the workings of that created world would be "overthinking" things.

I am of the opinion that if you build on something which contains this form of lore which has been put in all sorts of context throughout all sorts of stories throughout history as the story teller you should be able to explain how things work in "your" created world. Simply because it makes the over-all story better, more cohesive / unified. I think it is inherent to this subject matter/lore though because the workings of a vampire differentiate heavily between sorts of lore.
And with all the parallels people are making with other forms of vampire lore in this thread it seems I am not the only one interested in some form of answer to how things work in Rebirth.

Now I am not saying I demand answers or this should be told immediately in this story (or any story for that matter)
But for me it would definitely make for a better experience in the long run.

I hope this gives you some insight in my (and maybe others too) outlook on this. And yes it's completely OK to not be interested in that form of depth like I mentioned it probably isn't interesting to everyone. But it does make for interesting topics if you are.

Yet still ignoring the basic physiology of humans (and in this regard, vampires). A woman does not need blood-flow nor to be 'turned on' in order to have sex (most women at times have had sex purely for the sake of it and not been excited or turned on). A man does (hence why drugs affect our performance yet they don't a 3woman's).

So in Rebirth, we see that he needs fresh blood stimulas to get an erection...not much different to a human then. So why would a female vamp be that much different to her human counterpart hmmmm?

It sounds to me like you've focused entirely on male orgasm in your definition of 'sex'. And you're right in that limited sense, a female vamp doesn't need to feel any pleasure at all while lying there as some horny male bangs away at her. I doubt she'd put up with it if she had other options though.

Even with my novice vampire lore mind exploding from all the things I read on here. I do have one question to you vamp experts. I seen people saying vamps don't produce lubricants. Thousand and one possible answer for it. Yet, we all just do some guesswork here. Sometimes we hit the nail on the head and sometimes we are as far away from the truth that we must measure the distance in light years.

I for myself don't think to much about this "sex issue" particular. If it works, make sense for the world the author has build and is consistent with all the other things in this wolrd then I'm happy.
