VN Ren'Py Rebirth [Ep.5 Update 13] [LikesBlondes]

I stick to my guess of none of the standard clans. More than anything is because is what I want that to be teh case, but also because his set of abilities are all around the place, having some kind of Auspex, some Presence/Dominate and what I guess would eventually be some form of Obfuscate. He even seems to have some modification of Protean with the claws ability. I am not a specialist on VTM, but I do know the basic structure of the clans and he does not fit any combination I could think of. Any more knowledgeable person can help me out here?

Moreover, while VTM is clearly the setting of the story, so far none of the official names have been call upon. The closer we got was a "Nos" for nosferatus. And I seem to remember the word "Temple" in the beginning of the story for what I think is the Camarilla? Maybe to avoid a copyright infringement? Wait, would Dev have to pay for using the setting? I guess he would right?
No matter what is the case, the official clans may not exist here and they can all be clans based on the official ones.

Probably true. His disciplines so far seem to be Auspex, Dominate and Potence (the claw thing). There's no clan or bloodline that has these as the starting abilities, so my guess is that the game is trying to do its own thing instead.

You guys also have to remember he (the MC) might be displaying powers all over the place due to his sire (chick who turned him at the start). She gives off that elder vibe and is probably some powerful chick who turned us because why not. So maybe that is why he has some extra "perks" and seems a bit above average.

It doesn't matter how old your sire is, you only start out with 3 disciplines no matter what and you need to learn any others on your own.
But the game clearly is a loose adaptation so it doesn't respect that rule. Which is fine.

Excelent game, excelent story 10/10! It reminds me of an old rpg game - Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines mix with old tv series - Kindred, story is very interesting and i think, with more content added and how it will develop it deserves not only a regular game attention but also as a masterpiece of novel itself. Renders and characters are also excelent btw.

Ptolemy. Is the writer of Rebirth and likesblondes' previous VN Life with Mary. Ptolemy has some own stories like Alexandra and Intimate Relations and other join projects like Haley's story. If you go and read those you can tell his style is all over the place.

This game just kinda pissed me off. Play for a half hour, and you still haven't answered any of the questions from the intro of the game, just heap more on. All the characters are assholes to the PC for some reason, and not a single interesting seen. Might be a good game for a cuck who likes looking at cgs of clothed people being rude. Not my cup of tea.

I'm not 100% sure to understand what do you mean by incomplete intro. Do you talking about open questions no yet answered?

It doesn't matter if we are talking about a movie, a novel or something similar, but most story arcs "ask" questions, but take time to answer them. Some even until the end of the story to keep the reader/listener/viewer interested until the end.

That's something I experience with Rebirth too and I do enjoy it alot. Questions about who was the woman turning the MC into a vampire and if there are reasons behind her doing. Another one connected to that would be about the lineage of the MC and what this means for his abilities. But besides the MC we did met alot other people and every episode so far gave us small bits of informations but raises new questions too.

The enjoyment for most people comes from the journey following the story and learning more and more step-by-step each episode. Between the episodes this keeps the people invested and this is something Rebirth doing really good if you see all the posts in this thread speculating about the MCs lineage for example or the reasons for the actions of certain charcaters.

I hope after the story is told the important questions are answered, but it would kill the story if they would be answered to soon.
