Erm, yes it is. There is a line between erotic and porn (almost every time it comes down to "how explicit are the genitals shown") and this line is absolutely crossed in the sex scene. So you can basically say what you want, it doesn't change the fact, that this is a porn game, just not focused on porn.

And please don't get me wrong, it's still my second favorite game on this page. But the lack of sex is starting to really annoy. The story is pretty good, has a few loopholes and some things that are just stupid, but the characters are balancing it out so far. Overall it's starting to reach the point, where the amount of hot girls around the MC without anything happening is dragging the game down.

I don't think the story is good enough to keep the game at the top without more lewd scenes.

The game is an adult Visual Novel. It contains one possible optional sex scene and a number of erotic scenes of nudity. There is a guarantee of ONE more sex scene possibility. Those are the facts. Ranting that it needs more lewd is not going to change this folks. The guys have a vision of what they are writing this time around and it is an adult novel with some pornographic scenes optional, but mainly dealing with the topics of a vampire super elder rising and the various reactions, actions, and "stuff" associated with that rising.

There are a number of much lower quality vampire truly porn games out there. Most are Japanese or Asian in origin, and are borderline or maybe not borderline Hentai. If you are looking for a fap fest, this will never be that game.

I have had moments when I wanted to pull my hair out over another AVN on this site involving a frat, a sorority, drugs, sex, prostitution, and stuff. I understand frustration if a story is not playing out the way you think it should. I had to accept, as you will also have to accept, that no matter how much You may want something in the story, it is the developer(s) who decide, and you can either support them or not. Ranting about it on the other game got me a temp ban from posting on it-since removed. I actually rarely look there anymore anyway.

I discovered that I really like certain kinds of AVN on here, and I REALLY dislike others or parts of others. It is a site of free will here. You can say (insert whatever you want) and really the only consequence is if a mod thinks you went too far you get banned from posting, but it is not going to make a bit of difference in the storyline.

So speaking of something- that bastard ICSTOR made an ultra mini update on Milfy City and not it is no longer tagged as abandoned.... talk about RAGE... I had some on that.... thought I would just share...

That is not the difference between erotic and porn. It is the focus, one is centered about stimulation, the other one treats sex as a more artistic approach.

But thing is, the novel has one scene, and it is not stimulating. It has absolutely no sensuality (Miri), while the other scene (mc being turned) has no explicit sex, but it remains more erotic than the first.

And I don't think at all that the lack of sex is dragging the game down. What was a problen was Sharon, not the lack of sex. That was inconsequential. Feeding on Carmen was hotter than pretty much other scenes, but it was not sexual by nature, even if it resembled it.

Anyway, point is moot as Arigon said. Even dev explained it: not sex focused, therefore, by definition, not a porn game. As simple as that.

There are erotic scenes in Titanic (the couch, the sex in the car), yet no one would say that is an erotic movie, even less porn.

In the end, what something is depends on the intent and amount.

There is adult media that is 18+ not because of sex, because of other hard topics, usually extreme violence, some level of justification of drug abuse and heavy psychological topics that make people worried a less matured, more trouble mind my be too influenced upon.

While I wonder why they think it is age the key factor here, it is what is. So ADULT includes erotic and porn as subsets.

For example, The Fruit of Grisaia has one of the most heavy chapters I've read, but it has nothing to do with the erotic content but with the psychological drama and suspense, which is Angelic Howl, an absolute masterpiece. I could not eat meat for 2 weeks after reading it.

And they have stated: sex will not be the focused of the game. Just because someone does something that it mean everything they do is the same.

while I agree mostly with what has been said, I'll have to play devil's advocate here; the only sex scene we had so far has been with Miri, and honestly if that's MC's bar when it comes to comparing pleasures with, I must say, anything would be better than sex... Let's wait till MC has a taste of Carmen's pussy or even Astrid's before we declare he'll lose interest in sex

These games exist on a spectrum. Some games are porn focused games, others are story focused games. In order to be a porn game, it needs to be focused on porn.

This one veers heavily into the story focused side. Therefor this is an adult game, not a porn game.

For comparison,
NLT's games are porn focused games. A lot of FemMC games are porn games. Milfy City is a porn game.
Mr Dots games are in the middle of the scale. WTHI, BARS. Etc. Most of the big games are somewhere in the middle.
This is a story focused game. Like Hillside and LOML.

It's done.
It was a bit more difficult of an update. Even thought we went about 200 images, half of them went into one scene. The Carmen scene. Also, about this scene. We think it works better without being animated. But let us know if you'd like us to try our hand at that. Animating it, that is.
Also, we've stumbled on a new way to make the images a bit smaller. Which will allow us to pack a bit more content in each episode in the future. If you notice any difference in quality, please let us know. Let us know if it's worth it.
One more thing. Since the last weekend of this month, when the 5$ release was supposed to happen, falls awkwardly. The 31'st falls on a Saturday. We've decided to release the update today for everyone.
