VN - Ren'Py - Rebirth [Ep.5 ver1] [LikesBlondes]

An "enthralling" story
The renders are top notch, original settings and NPC, a very good atmosphere, everything happens for a reason, great storytelling. Very far from most VN around here, for the best.
Some will say that the pace is slow, that the Dev takes his time to build the characters, and that so far there is very little sexual contend, BUT strangely after each release you'll yearn for more.

The game is still early in development imo

But so far its very nice a vampire game but done rite imo

The women are gud looking and the storyline makes sense and is interesting so far.

The stats building is in its early stages but showing promiss with the different trainers that u can pursue for one of ur 3 stats.

will keep a look out for this game and see what comes next but it is showing some promiss for sure. I recommend everyone to give this a try u wont be disappointed

After playing the first 6 episodes I want to take the opportunity about this awesome VN.

In my eyes this VN earns the 5 stars without any doubt and I would like to tell you why.

For my personal enjoyment I compare VNs here in 4 categories:

1. Art
The art is really beautiful and distinguishes itself from other VNs thanks to new and different places, in- and outdoor. The same goes for the models, there is alot of work done in detail to make sure that the models are different enough from other VNs (something which gives me from time to time a hard time to get into new VNs if there are almost similar looking models used).

2. Story
It is a vampire story, therefore you will find alot of topics typical for this genre, shouldn't be a suprise for anyone. If you like this genre I think you will have fun following it. The narration feels never rushed and it takes its time if needed, but it felt at no point boring or slow for me.

3. Characters
Most of what I said about the story is valid for the characters and their stories. You will come across many different and interesting people and I enjoy the character building especially for the main cast around the MC. Each episode you learn some new infos about a character, but most of them still have their own secrets to discover in future episodes.

4. Decisions
You will face quite some decisions during your playthrough and most of them are relevant in coming parts of the story. There are three different disciplines to teach the MC and they change how you progress in the story and what kind of solutions you will have available as the MC for certain situations.

The hardest part follwing this VN for me is the waiting time between the episodes ;-)

The storytelling in this game is really good. Just finished Ep.1 Update 5 and, as a fan of vampires and engaging stories in general, i quite liked it. the developer obviously knows how to write a compelling narrative, and he made a smart decision by focusing on a small cast of characters so that he can develop each character well and not leave any character feeling like an archetype. the plot is intriguing, with both the short term and long term goals clear. I quite like what is already in the game, am interested in what happens next, and i highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in engaging and enjoyable stories.

PS: It is worth noting that this game does make some major changes to the Vampire lore, particularly if you are coming from a Vampire: The Masquerade background. Those changes are not necessarily bad, and i actually like some of them, but i thought them worth noting. For a few Examples, so far it has been shown that turning into a vampire is a gradual thing that takes days and suffering instead of an instant "Coma then Profit" change, that Thralls actually have free will except when directly ordered by their master (like a character in the game said, Thralls here are more like celebrities superfans), and that Vampires cry normal tears instead of blood tears.

PPS: There hasn't been any sex so far, which one would normally think of as a negative, but the reason here is to develop the characters well and make the sex scene meaningful when it happens, so it is very understandable and reasonable in this case and i actually commend the developer for doing so. still, it is worth mentioning that considering the normal expectations of games on this site.

The story is great, and for someone that knows Vampire the masquerade this is pretty close to the mythos. I came for the girls and stayed for the story. Understanding a little about MC sire i think this will get very hot in the future. I see some saying this is a cliche, i disagree.

The story has not got much in the way of sex yet. I feel that is mainly because you are in the start of the story and due to the story feeling very genuine. No characters that want to hump you because you have had a conversation for 15seconds.

I start to play it waiting for an average adult porn game, but i have to say this game really give me a nice surprise, the history is really good, it's a a good amount of play time an also great characters, I really enjoy it every second that I play it. If you want a good history, some mistery and love vamps sci fi, you will love this game.

I wanted to like this game I really did but as much as there needs to be a new VTM game (which you can tell this is heavily influenced by) I can't like the game it is just way too boring and formulic the scenes of the game have been done ad naseum at least 100 times before including the making fun of popular culture.

The game is becoming a borefest.

-Story is very weak and contrived pretty much what you could find in any trashy vamp romance novel at the 1c bin of a used bookstore
-Characters don't have much depth and pretty much act how you expect them to.
-For a vamp game there is very little sexual content. This update contained 0

I really like this game. The renders are great and it seems to follow a Vampire the Masquerade plot which is awesome. The choices in the game are few and as far as I've seen so far go towards establishing what your lineage and abilities are, but that's fine for an intro. There's no sexual content so far, beyond some nudity, but that's probably the only way to go if you're building a reasonable story instead of a 15 minute fap-fest.

I love this game. I'm a long time fan of Vampire: The Masquerade, and this game really does a good job of capturing its allure. Also, so far it has an interesting story with really likable characters. I like the Nosferatu best, but really everyone is well-written. No real sexual content so far (I'm halfway through into the fifth update), but it doesn't bother me at all. If the story is interesting and fun, then the slow build can actually add a lot of value. Kudos.

A very fun and engaging read, mostly linear with minor dialogue choices but well written with some nice visuals and renders and if you're only into the sex content, this is not that type of a game with it's very slow developing intimate relationships. Overall if you enjoy the Vampire the masquerade setting or just a good story focused adult-themed vn this might catch your attention.

This is probably the first 'folktale fantasy' VN I've given a try and it's great so far although the intro was pretty flat but the plot builds up quick enough to keep you rooted and continues well from there. The choices/decisions are far and few in between but that's not an issue for a VN that has great renders (some renders could use better lighting to match with the time setting) and thrilling plot with romance, suspense, and a bit of humor at the side.

This game needs a better description, or like synopsis, because from reading it, you'd have no idea really what you're getting into. That aside I must say the game is really good.

As of now (update 4) there is no sex in it, though there are some naked bodies and a bit of teasing, so it's a story based game. The story is solid. You're a DJ (which was about to make me hop off board at first) who works with a good friend of yours that happens to be female. The game kinda implies you go back a ways with her, though how far back Idk, or don't remember. One night she goes away back to visit or handle something, and you get contacted to do a big gig at a private affair.

You accept it, and have a random conversation with some random woman (for now, I'd like to think the dev will link this woman into the story again later) and she makes it seem like she's lived forever and is bored with life. The MC stupidly makes that out to be some kinda rich person problem, which compels the lady to teach him a lesson kinda. She turns him into a vampire.

From there, you learn to live with yourself while learning a bit more about the characters around you. I tried to be vague on purpose so as not to spoil the whole damn thing for you here. But the story is pretty good. I didn't find anything SUPER immersion breaking, though you may not wanna have your brain on in overactive mode, or I'm sure you'll find ways to take yourself out the world the game wants to put you in.

The characters are good. There are a few of them that are real important to the game, and they're not all the same. Some you feel close to, some you want to know more about. The game does a good job of making you care for those people in your life that you spend time with. The choices don't have a whole lot of effect yet. As I believe the game wasn't meant to be too branching. Most the choices now change only like a line or two of dialogue, while most big choices at this point are made for you.

The graphics are good, and language and spelling is pretty good too. There's a couple of mistakes littered in the game, but separated so you won't be reading broken english every other line. The dev did a good job with that as well.

All in all, hopefully this game has a long way to go, because I enjoyed it. I went in with no expectations, but there's a lot that this game sets up for in the future. Including a choice to either be a good vamp or a bad vamp maybe. It does a lot of teaching about, consequences for your actions, and stuff so hopefully we get to live with more of that in the future. It has a lot of potential, and hopefully unlike another good VN involving vampires, this one doesn't end up abandoned. It's good, if you have the time or any of this interests you, try it out. I don't think you'll regret it.

The renders are beautiful.
The characters in the VN are fantastic, and I love their personalities (nicely done). (The MC could use some polish, or at least some common sense)
They have managed to create interesting multifaceted characters, and carefully give each of the characters their own distinct personality and story.
The story constantly keeps my interest peeked.
The locations are varied in such a way that you actually feel that you're part of the world being portrayed.

I'm definitely counting this in my top 5 list.
Looking forward to the continuation of Rebirth.

a genuinely good game, the story is great and is awesome, game is still in it's early stages but here is what i think about the story so far, in just a few short updates a lot of content has been introduced that can be branched further into the story this alone shines a bright light on the future of the game, the mood and the ambiance set for the game doesn't collide with the story its trying to tell and in fact enforces it, even the font is great!
then comes the art and graphics, what can i say? They are improved version of previous game but space for improvement is always there.
all said and done who doesn't like a vampire story and one with base in Word Of Darkness

Conclusion:
Love this Game,reminds me of Hammer Films with the Love and Horror mix in them.
I could play this Game for hours, that`s how much I enjoyed it.
This Game has everything from Vampires, Creatures and other folks in it,without forgetting Love and friendship.
Overall a great Game with every bit worth the download.
5 stars in my book.

Edit after Episode 1:

I do enjoy this game although the dialogue and polishing could use some more work. The game is extremely slow not only in romance or sexually but also just the story is slow. The plot has developed a bit but the questions I have had from the start are still not even close to being answered.

I think there is a real lot of fluff added into the game and for the most part I would say it isn't necessarily well thought-out. I think the game feels pretty scatterbrained and could benefit from longer development cycles.

Regardless of my complaints, I really do enjoy this game I just expect more coming from Ptolemy and LikesBlondes. I think this game has a bright future and I can't wait to see how the plot inevitably develops, hopefully some of the questions I have are at least considered in the dialogue in episode 2.

I would recommend this game but I'm not sure it is a 5 star perfect game. I think a 3.5 fits it better.

Interesting game. I think the setting and plot has pretty much unlimited potential and given a lot of time this game can be amazing. As of now, I would say it is too early to tell. I hope this game does well. Currently, just like the MC, I basically just have a ton of questions.

I can sort of feel empathy for Laurie and the MC. This part of the story could potentially have been done better. I'm not sure if the connection between them was built up well enough? So it's easy to not care much about the problems that are happening between them. Also, the MC should have no issue convincing his supposed long-time friend that he is in fact a vampire. Instead he screws up doubly so and a major problem is created for him and his friend from a very dumb and unbelievable mistake. I'm not sure such a major conflict (so it seems) in the story can originate from such an easy error to avoid and it created a feeling of disbelief for myself.

Anyways, as I stated before, I pretty much have 1000 questions and hopefully given time the writer can answer them in a sensible and meaningful way in the story. Wishing this game the best, hopefully it keeps going well. Worth a download I would say.

Really excellent writing.

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to calling any erotic game "excellent" when it comes to the writing.

Even the best written games usually have mediocre plotting, characters, and prose and are readable solely because they are erotic fiction.

This game, so far, stands far above the pack in plot, characters, written prose, and world building.

Even other games with fair writing and plotting like Acting Lessons, Daughter for Dessert, Tangled, and even this devs previous game Life with Marry completely pale in comparison to how interesting this game is as of right now.

I hope the dev is capable of keeping this level of quality going forward. As it is, this is a virtual novel level story that I would play regardless of erotic content. The fact that it hasn't really had ANY erotic content so far really sells the fact that this could be an excellent game if the erotic content is also well done.

I don't want to oversell this game, though. It is at the first act right now and it has definitely piqued my interest far and above what most erotic games do, but that doesn't mean that the quality will continue.

Most erotic games have HUGE problems with plotting. This dev may be able to keep the plot moving forward with out huge leaps, but that is yet to be seen in this story. It is certainly an ambitious story, but opening and first chapters are easy.

The meat of the story is still to come and that is what is difficult.

If the dev delivers on the quality shown so far this will be a classic and will likely be the first erotic game I've played on here that I believe could have true merit as a virtual novel outside of the erotic space with a world that could be good enough to merit further exploration.

Update: We're pretty far into the game now, and so far there hasn't really been any sex at all, save for one scene that I can remember... which felt rather forced. To top it off, there's also not a whole lot of "adult" or "lewd" moments to make up for it.

It is therefore pretty clear that the dev is more interested in telling a story, rather than an adult story. This isn't necessarily a bad thing... it depends on what you're looking for. But fair warning. If it weren't for the one sex scene and occasional nudity, this would be a PG-rated vamp game.

In this specific instance, I consider this a negative. Vampire worlds are typically dark and gritty... filled to the brim with sex, violence, drugs, etc. This game has none of those things... in fact it's rather wholesome. I still love the game, but it casts a shadow over the whole "vamp theme."

I rarely give a star rating to a game that is in such early stages so this is subject to change, but I'm making an exception because I'm really hoping this game will receive all the attention that it so rightfully deserves.

So here it goes, my rating of Rebirth, Ep. 1 Up. 2:

First, I love the way we're introduced into the world of "vampires" and the lore we've been shown thus far. The pacing is very efficient as it doesn't really feel like a minute of time is wasted from where the story starts and where we're at right now. I don't personally have a "thing" for vampire stories, but I've never had an aversion to them either.

I also see a lot of potential for romance, as your little vampire-chaperone is incredibly beautiful. In addition the best friend who, while her model isn't really up my alley, makes up for it completely in personality.

To keep this short, here's my list of pros and cons:

Pros:
• Solid story-writing.
• Gorgeous girls with nice personalities.
• Some nice, crisp, high quality renders.
• Great backstory & lore.
• Okayish "gameplay."
• Great music! I really really loved the music.

Cons:
• We have to suck a dude's neck.
• Wary that developer may be too "PC" to implement male-to-female "seduction," "corruption," and "slave" elements that make "vampire games" truly "interesting." ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
• It's not a very dark vampire story: there's little violence, almost no sex, there's not much happening in the way of romance to make up for it either. It's a little too wholesome for a vampire universe.

If we can knock those cons right out of the ballpark, or at the very least not be too "PC/Patreon friendly" with what you allow players to do with certain females... this will cancel out con two and make up entirely for con one.

Overall, I give this a 4.6 / 5.0, with the potential to grow to a 5/5. Greatly recommend... especially to fans of my game (I know y'all will like this, so stop wasting time).

** NOTE: If you're put off by the "licking face vampire," just know that he did that against her will/she hates him and that's the only thing like that that's happened. As someone who personally dislikes NTR, this was NOT NTR.

I didn't mind this scene at all because she expresses her disgust. He is just mega-strong, so nobody can really do jack shit about him -- don't let it put you off.

I really liked the begging of the story... Definitely will be waiting for updates. Hopefully soon . That's like only the 2nd game I really liked; and also I don't like two hundred symbols minimum thing.

A great start. The models look good, the story and characters are very compelling. As long as the dev doesn't bring some weird shit into the game, this could turn out to be an excellent game.
Can't wait to see where this goes. As with so much vampire fiction out there and some of it quite good, it shouldn't be too hard for the dev to come up with a story line that is interesting and original.
