You say she's a negative person and just overall shitty, can you give examples because I can give you examples where she's the total opposite of what you're talking about.
I definitely agree love can be crazy lol.
I pretty much gave my examples, Nasira definitely has good points in her favor, but I focus on the separation aspect and how she just genuinely wants MC to go be a manwhore but prove he still has love for her. Tack on the fact that they're sex compatible, and MC fights his ass off for her and she walks out not once, but twice now. It's just insanely shitty. She leaves Mc because parents dont like that future for her. Instead of affirming MC on her leaving to go fix it and not really
Separate but instead handle her affairs with her parents and leave everything as it is. She doesn't. She separates from MC, which in that scenario would leave most men feeling powerless and shitty. Its not something we can actually control. Gotta look at it from the Scope. Basketball local legend gets with girl, who makes the first move, she ends up pregnant, they get married. He stays monogamous and faithful giving up all his fun years for her. Sure, thats reasonable. However, when you turn it around to "Wife with 2 year old that has faithful successful husband, one day walks out on him and tells them they're separating for now because her parents dont approve of him" its not so reasonable.
Junior is 21 I believe they said, Tony is 18. So that's ~3 year gap, so they were married for 2 years and some change before she stepped out if I had to guess based on what we know. They were already married and with a kid either way. If your wife randomly just waltzes out like that you would be pretty inconsolable especially if you truly loved her like that. So best friend Faith comes in and basically becomes his rock, they sleep together. Is that bad? Sure. They probably shouldnt have done that, but is it wrong? Not really, not in my opinion. His wife walked out there was no way to know if this was a 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, 5 year separation. She could have never came back. The pregnancy was a total accident they hammer that point home constantly. A month is genuinely pretty long to be without your wife and kid though, it might not seem like it but you'd be going through some shit at that time lol.
My point about Nasira's positivity is shes negative as hell in almost every regard to the relationship, but she basically was in the drivers seat at the biggest point of contention. Then she takes the wheel again and does something else insanely risky and stupid and walks out again leaving MC to have "all the fun he could have had" as a younger man, as his out-of-prime older self. Which lowkey backfires because girls in harem stories just throw pussy as it would be. He brings up multiple times how she's prone to shutting down stuff he says, how she stonewalls things, how she wont even take a single sit down with faith and tony, basically hates tony, etc. Only finally after they return is she willing to do it but after she pushes herself out of the picture again, basically giving the greenlight for MC to go and fuck the girl she cant get over again. It's very strange.
Idk, Just all red flags for me, even how its written is just kinda shitty. I like Nasira, I dont specifically hate her, but shes just confusing and erratic. She has really high good points but also really low bad points. If you disagree, I get it, you dont see it in the same way I do. Nothing can be done about that. But I would say walking out on your partner, even temporarily like that is probably up there in top 3 worst things you can possibly do, and to do it twice. I wouldnt be able to trust the person. Even if it was meant to be a positive experience, the amount of stress, mental strain, and fighting you'd have to do would be so damaging on your relationship.
At the end of the day we're trying to rationalize fiction, but idk just felt like it could have presented in a better way, cause personally it kinda cuts Nasira out for me. I like her design and I think she's a good woman, but theres just so many bad interactions in my opinion that make Faith a prime candidate for the "real choice" Which feels shitty & guilty in a way too lol. I think even if dev went just down the road of "Nasira and Faith reconciling without a break on the trip and opening the door to an open marriage" it would have even been more genuine feeling to me personally lol.
