Slow burn is always bad - but this is getting into extreme territory (AWAM, JOHN, Summer Story, etc.)

No, slow burn can be good.
But you need a interesting story, characters with some depth and good writting to carry the game...this one has none of that.

The problem here is, the game has no story, there is nothing interesting happening, the characters don't do anything remotely interesting...the characters aren't interesting either and the dialogue feels so robotic and unnatural...
So far there's barely any character development/growth, barely any relationship development, the 'story' is treading water and if you like sex scenes, there's pretty much nothing here either, i remember one and it felt like a chore, nothing remotly erotic about it.

The MC is, and stays, a dumbass/manchild. He has no agency, or really any ambition, or well, anything, beside being a dumbass.
The gf is still a robot which tries to imitate a human (i think you can have a more emotional dialogue with your Alexa at home)
Chris is ok, kinda...

So yeah, whatever the dev tries here, it just doesn't work for me.
I really liked the first game, the last one i couldn't get into at all, being it story, MC or LI's. This one feels like the dev took most of the bad points the last game had and then removed the last pieces of fun with surgical precision.

I don't like slow burn and I HATE ultra-slow/glacial burn. Not being able to get rid of Diana the bitch is also annoying. Like fly home from Amsterdam without her or something.

It's too bad, too. I think the model for Diana is cute. She just doesn't have the personality to match (read: any personality at all).

I like it, if it is good written and the characters can keep you invested, but yeah, slow burn is often not well written. More often then not, it just feels like stalling for no reason (or because the dev knows a LI is popular and purposefully keeps her back).
In this case, there's no burn at all, be it with the gf or Chris...

To be fair, I thought it was a nice touch for Diane to be receptive to it and joke about it the first time. But this MC has the habit of becoming a whiny man-baby who constantly ruins a nice moment.

Just got home from work, and thought about doing one of these.

Been working on the update. We're hoping to finish the renders at the end of this week. So, we'll probably be ready to release next week. Beginning, middle, end, I have no idea. But I'm hoping for next week.

Just got home from work, and thought about doing one of these.

Been working on the update. We're hoping to finish the renders at the end of this week. So, we'll probably be ready to release next week. Beginning, middle, end, I have no idea. But I'm hoping for next week.

I-I know that the developer is a dumbass with no actual story in mind. A-and I also know... [blushes] ...that you haven't seen m-me even naked yet and we're supposedly already over the halfway point of the game. I know, I know. But l-look, OK? Viit is just kinda slow, yeah? Like, he might actually be touched in the head.​

Anyway, here's the thing: he doesn't know what made Haley's Story as good as it was. OK, we all know the endings weren't great. That's fair. But that VN was mostly good, right? [irritated crickets] Uh, b-but Viit is... um, experimenting, you know? As in, trying to recreate the magic that made that first one successful.​

With Taming of the Brat, he thought it might be silliness. Like, Haley was silly, right? So if Bella also was silly.... But no, that wasn't it. He also thought it might be the ginger factor, so he had added Elena as well. Wrong again? Damn, OK....​

Now he's trying youth and ginger. ​

Sorry, what was that you said? Oh, yeah, exactly! I even told him while he was adding me to this story that he was on the wrong track, but... he doesn't believe us. [sigh] Listen, I hear him sometimes mumbling that the next VN might be a meteorologist who gets stuck in a time loop at a festival while watching whether a rodent sees its own shadow....​

Yeah, that'd be me. There has been zero character growth so far, so I was assuming that all of this was still the first act.

I think this are the most uneventful/boring holiday/clubbing/dancing scenes i have seen so far in all my years playing VN's...
The dev does this on purpose, right ? I mean, there is no way you make clubbing/dancing scenes and forget to let the MC dance with the girls, have fun, or go to Amsterdam and do nothing but eating and resting...
