Because the file extension is set to open with chrome by default on your system?
Prob the webp files. Use a viewer which supports webp and use it as the default application to open wepb files.

just change the file type from .webp to .jpeg its not hard advanced renamer does it super easy

Did you just really decided to make a complain post about the fact that your too lazy to install/search for an image viewer which can read wepb? Which literately takes only a few minutes, but blame it on the archive for containing webP files?

I guess you expected to get an gold spoon with your free porn too?

I have Windows 7 and as far as my searches have produced, there are no free WebP viewers available with the functionality i need. I am legally blind and need full screen view which any i have looked at charge you extra for cuz its too much to ask for anything good to be free, especially when you live on a fixed income and can't waste money on bloatware filled trash. Yes, I am complaining about the format simply because earlier they were in a more usable one and I had no issues.

is free. It's both a simple, but very powerfull viewer. I think you need to install the plugins too for wepb support

Try Webconv and you can easily Decode webp files into other formats like jpg; png; gif etc. You can convert a lot of image files into webp files also to save space on your HDD.

Compressed images in webp format have very good quality and take up very little disk space, less than a jpg file. That is why developers use them more and more. Download this program together with an image viewer (irfanview is excellent) and you won't regret it, both programs are completely free.
