Plot idea is good. Writing is good. Ana de Armas is the best, always.
Now make the game pls.
Step-by-step words can be good decision but only for some very important scene, where each one word can change everything. Not in each one string line in each one dialogue, c'mon! :FacePalm: Don't waste gamers time, make scenes and conversations shorter, please. Place the whole dialogue on the single screen, please-please.

That old dick took my costume. I do not know what happened next. Maybe he danced a lambada or fucked a goose. I was so tired of talking to him that I just fell asleep. When I wake up I just close the browser. Please make scenes shorter and plot faster. I'm not asking for myself, just help that goose to save his virginity.

Been waiting for smth like this for a while now. Keep up the good work.
NB: The fade in text is tedious and the grind is way too high, but i enjoyed the result. Waiting for the next update !

  • Great writing, Anna is amazing obviously, and the ramp up in scenes is entertaining.
  • A bit too much clicking at times : hi bob>water>exercise>slugs>cook>eat>exercise>talk bob>sleep.. every day for 1 week before new scene.
  • I thought I've seen everything after many days, until I decided to go back to shack and suddenly "bob wants something". Maybe hints ?
  • And please... remove all delays, fadein/fadeout, word by word prompts, way too slow, especially with that much clicking. Hot fix seems to reduce that but it's still too much
Can't wait for the next chapter !
Also : is Max coming back ? It was a bit disapointing to never see it again after the first couple scenes.

When playing, I assumed that in the day-to-day-loop (after intro) perhaps more varied things may happen in a more mature version of the game. So, it may become a tiny bit less repetitive (but I don not mind the way it is now).

Currently [0.1-hotfix], you do have to click the same sequence of links many many times. But, as a little hack:

Oh, btw. I did like the game a lot. Nevertheless, I would prefer, if in the future we could opt out of some of the characters (like Max) by persistently avoiding them; if feasible. Perhaps when more characters have been introduced (in the future). I would actually have preferred any (natural) creature from that planet, a tentacle monster/Octopus, a humanoid alien, a big horny slug... but, genetic mutants, chimeras and experimented upon specimen are not my thing. Too much full metal alchemist integrated deep into my brain. (but reading this thread, it seems like he's a fan-favourite).

I was quite glad that Max left, and wondered if this is the first branching point and something else would have been possible as well. If this is a choose your own adventure, I will keep making choices to get rid of him.

But, regardless of preferences, it is just always fun to discover unexpected things in a game. If we always got what we wanted, it would be boring.

Please drop the scrolling text altogether. It's not appropriate for the lore (can make jump gates, can't make text that appears instantly?), and is a massive annoyance for the player.

What an amazing work for one's first game's first version! I love the visuals and the writing, and the whole setting and atmosphere is just sublime! Can't wait to see what you'll come up with in the next updates! :>

Some thoughts & critique, much of it prolly just due to first version or my pointless opinions so feel free to ignore:
  • I really hope there's H-stuff for slugs, tenties, mutants and monsters and so on in the future! Not just old/ugly/mutated guys. :)
  • A lot of effort was put into highlighting that the MC is exceptionally intelligent. I hope that's not just pointless backdrop, but something that will matter and play into the story and choices later? (please please don't let it be just a setup for bimbofication x.x I can't stand that fetish personally xD )
  • So far the game is very on-rails, we'll probably have some choices down the line?
  • The grind for the current content is exceptionally brutal, the delays don't help. Hopefully it'll get better with more content?
  • I have to add to the pile of voices against the delayed texts. For important intros or new chapters sure... but every single passage? I mean, it has to be a lot of effort for a dev to do that, and all for (at least to me personally) making the experience worse? It would at least be good if it could be bound to a variable which we could control via the settings menu, to customize the text speed like in Ren'py imo. c:
    • I understand the attempt is to control the flow, to provide a kind of animated, smooth quality feeling. But I don't think those should come at such an extreme cost of basic usability.
Still, this is now definitely one of my top most expected HTML games I can't wait to see more of!
