v0.14 just released a day ago. But I guess it is locked behind Silver Tier on PatreonHas the game already released any new update? And it feels like development just stopped.
To be honest, it’s long overdue. This story moves too slooooowly.Next update we gonna get some Eryn wincest.
Does it matter for a 10-minute update? Does anything matter?Guessing no, but is the uncensored patch up to date?
Thanks in advance.
To be fair it could easily be a 60 minute update if someone really sucks at reading.Does it matter for a 10-minute update? Does anything matter?
If an update with almost nothing in it falls in the woods, does it make a sound?
Don't want to sound rude or judge you or anything, but consider writing scenes far ahead of what artist has drawn. Like in that dragon game or pact with a witch or hero party must die (author gutted most of minigames there). Getting stuck by having to code what you don't like or to wait for artist is the surest killer of enthusiasmThe artist can get through however many scenes fit into her time budget per release and I make sure that each of those scenes has a purpose in the story, a conflict, any key info, and character wants/stakes.
Ello! That's from a missing label that's now fixed in 0.13. Choosing to avoid those 2 scenes changes dialogue in her later scenes for consistency in the story but won't lock you out of future scenes.
That was the bug that caused a crash because of a label called "day003_eryn_exitramp" right? If so I think I fixed that in an unreleased version 0.13b. I'll make a quick 0.13c version with the fix tomorrow night to replace 0.13a and reupload.Ello!
The bug is still within the game as I am playing at the moment. Also using the current patch for the game. Remove the patch and the bug still appear.

Version 0.13c links are now up. Let me know if you run into any other bugs.Ello!
Thanks for the quick replay, looking forward to the story.
I meant no disrespect or even criticism RE your choices. TBH I have not DL-ed or played the update because I read the change log on a different site where (supposedly) you described it a 10-minute update, and for me that was not worth a whole new DL, etc.To be fair it could easily be a 60 minute update if someone really sucks at reading.
Seriously though I could fluff up the script to make the game artificially feel longer, but I've played a lot of VNs where the writer added a lot of what I'd consider filler and it bugged me. Like yeah sure it takes me a while to read but nothing is happening to move the story forward. The style we're going for with Refuge of Embers is short but dense like a screenplay. The artist can get through however many scenes fit into her time budget per release and I make sure that each of those scenes has a purpose in the story, a conflict, any key info, and character wants/stakes.
You should be able to hit the left arrow to disable those options. I tested on my PC and it's working fine for me. If that isn't working it could be an issue with an old save file but I don't think I changed anything that would have caused that. Why can't disable censored mode and virtual mode?
No offense taken. The artist and I go through VN's pretty much the same way with a pretty big library that we cycle through to update every 3-4 months. Main reason for the response is that most of the feedback we get on our game is that it's good but updates are too short. At some point within the next few months we hope to hit a tipping point with support where the artist can switch to doing this full time. Until then she only has ~104 hours to work with per release. Now that we're working on the romance paths almost all of those hours can go into actual scenes instead of assets like character sprites and backgrounds though, so either way the pace is finally picking up a bit.I meant no disrespect or even criticism RE your choices.
