Silicone breasts vs natural milkers. Although let's just point out that you are comparing a sprite with toggleable face/clothes/belly/etc in front of a background to an art by a japanese artist who specifically studied western fairy tale cartoons extensively to create a recognizable fantasy styleCompare:

I feel the later, while still rather ridiculously large and in a somewhat cartoonish style, has a much stronger sense of reality and physical presence.
Yeah they have to match the quality, just the underlying principles, ya know. You could fix that sprite right up with a few alterations in the curvature of the lines. Although I guess that's like saying you could be the fastest man alive if you just ran faster. I dunno. For the longest time I was never a fan large busts in hgames or art (to the point where they actually straight up ruined numerous works for me) and preferred smaller chests, but recently I've come to realize that people are actually just shit at drawing breasts.Silicone breasts vs natural milkers. No... No! I'm an ass man through and through, I swear! Not some uncultured swine! I would never stoop to-Good old human nature at work. We can't help it...so why fight it?
The artist has always been more focused on backgrounds so drawing figures was kind of new for her when she started. Early on we were both improving pretty quickly and had to redo a lot of the artwork to keep everything consistent since each new sprite and scene looked noticeably better than the last. At this point to save time and press forward we're holding off on reworking the early stuff if it's at least 80% to where we want it to be. For both of us a lot of the fun of working on this has been in improving at everything though. Every couple of weeks we try something new in the process or do a deep dive into something specific to make it better. Lately for her it's been animation, but a few weeks back we got some courses on boob movement for those and had a major level up.The art is simultaneously great and "eh." So much work has gone into detailing and backgrounds that look really nice, and the style strikes an appealing blend of realistic and cartoonish, but the underlying physicality, anatomical structure, perspective and posing of the characters just needs that little bit more practice and refinement. Still has that characteristic stiffness of someone who hasn't mastered the rules before breaking them yadda yadda. Studies with anatomical texts can be helpful (if that's not something you're already doing). Not that modern artists necessarily have the free time for stuff like that while trying to put bread on the table...
While I like the style I think some adjustment could be made specifically to the upper half of the faces to make them more appealing. And with regard to character's with large busts, paying special attention to portray the breasts weighted physical objects that deform and interact with forces rather than loosely attached airbags can be beneficial, unless that's your specific taste. I'm not saying make them saggy or anything but

Kind of got side tracked into a conversation about boobs at the end there and I didn't want that to be the focus... My main attention was drawn to the posing and proportions and positions of extremities. Anyway I feel the art is obviously good enough for the project as it exists, I'm just speaking in terms of eventual mastery, that's all.
Why the FUCK was I paying off student loans for years when the crap school I went to didn't have Boob Movement 101 as an elective?? I missed out D-cup (big) time. And they missed out on a lot of $$ because I would have retaken that course every semester...a few weeks back we got some courses on boob movement for those and had a major level up.
Try pressing Ignore, helps sometime.
Not sure but my best guess is some weirdness from persistent data if you played an old version on the same PC, particularly if it was in the past version of Python. You could try to go into c:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\RefugeOfEmbers and delete everything in there to reset the persistent data and saves. You'll need to have hidden folders viewable to find and get into the AppData folder. Also make a backup of everything before you delete it if you want to keep your saves but if they're really old they'll be buggy.I do it and I can enter the main menu
but when I try to start the game or go to options this error occurs

It looks like it's having an issue with some specific menu code that I've only had an issue with when I tried to recompile the game using a Python 2 version of RenPy. I was trying to get the game to run on a reeeally old netbook with a 32 bit CPU, like 15-20 years old. It looks like yours is 64 bit though. What hardware are you using?I never played it before
I wanted to play the previous version and I couldn't either because of the same errors

Also are there any mods you tried to install before launching the game for the first time, and is it an official version or something like a compressed or modified version uploaded by a third party?
