A new save is required, delete your old persistent appdata in:

C:\Users\ (your username) \Appdata\Roaming\RenPy\RefugeOfEmbers

You could also hit ignore but there will be other issues and crashes.

I've never played your game. It appears out of nowhere when I open it.

Weird, someone else reported the same issue a couple of pages back. When I was adding language support I changed that variable in a way that would cause a crash with persistent data. Maybe a file is corrupted, did you use the mega link or a different download mirror?

The guy from a couple of pages ago was on a different game version so on second thought it probably isn't related to the download mirror. If it isn't related to old appdata then the game will probably run if you ignore the error. It may crash if you go to the gameplay settings screen though. Not sure what the exact issues is since it isn't affecting everyone, but I removed that code in version 0.22 so it should be fixed moving forward.

I'm really curious about what Rithe will be and if there are any plans to develop his romance. I agree that the core is the main character's relationships with the girls, and overall, Rithe really stands out against this backdrop (because he's a guy, lol), but at the same time, it would be weird to cut him out completely now or leave only one masturbation scene.

We split characters into either main love interests and side characters. Since both types can have sex scenes the only real difference is that the side chars won't have their own unique endings. We plan to add some more scenes with Rithe as well as scenes for other side chars like Aina and Breya. How many we add is just going to come down to supporter polls. Version 0.24 is going to introduce another new male side character who knows Rithe, and is planned to eventually have scenes as well. He's going to be a very important character for the main plot.

Well, As there is no tag, it's not a Harem game; so I think it's okey for this game.

For the festival,
=> If we choose to go with Eryn, then Lena's path is blocked, but there may be no problem with Lucine and Raisa's path.
=> If we choose to go with Lena, then Eryn's path is blocked, but there may be no problem with Lucine & Raisa's path.
=> If we go with Lucine/Raisa, then both Eryn's and Lena's path are blocked, but there is no problem with Raisa/Lucine's path.

One more thing, none can get all the Gallery scenes without multiple playthrough.

I'm not a fan of choosing between LIs, so I think it's good to know this before starting the game, because that way I save myself from starting it.

Same issue here, it's crashing almost instantly and I'm on windows 11.

Hi there, last time I played this game was with the 0.17a, I installed 0.19 version but I guess I forgot to try it, my last save is from 7 october 2024, I don't really remember the game but I know it was cool and I wanted to continue my previous savegame and it seems there is a little visual bug. Females are like having a mastectomy... no nipples flat chests like a plank instead of wearing their outfit. If I launch 0.19 version with my save it's fine, but not if I launch it with 0.21.

Is it a problem with previous savegames compatibility? Is a new game necessary for v0.21 or something wrong with the file here? here is my save file if needed if you could tell me what's wrong... thank you for the help. Take care.
