Superpowered Alpha is extremely buggy for me. The cheats tend to cause powers or stats to vanish. Did not go back later and see if they were just invisible graphically or missing in the actual game.

Turns out it was requring pathnames to use forward-slashes (C:/Games/Whatever). If you grab the latest code, I've fixed it now so it should work either way.

Can you give an example of a specific thing you did and the expected/actual result? It's possible the game logic just doesn't support certain tinkering, though equally likely that it's a Regalia bug.

The game is also broken - You can't send anyone on assignments. So you basically cannot play the game.

Here's a fixed version that should be able to at least get through the first day. Probably still some more bugs hiding around in there, though!

Now that I've got it (sorta) working, I might spend some time making the Cheat menu more useful in games like No Haven that store so much data in multi-dimensional arrays.

Though looking at the No Haven code makes me think more than anything it would be a net gain for world sanity if they rewrote it in any other engine. They're hardly using any of the RAGS items (rooms, characters...) but are doing unspeakable things just to make it act like a fancy twine game.

Well as I noted in a prior post lost all my saves and games. So off memory, I was altering either girl stats or powers. The effect I was reporting was one where either the stats would not be visible on screen or the actual powers do not show up as being usable. Example: Mentalism would vanish. Unfortunately I can't recall if the effect was limited to the cheated power or all of them. No one else seems to be reporting it, perhaps it was on my side only.

I tried to make an offline version of the latest version Evil Inc v1.7.7bugfix2 with regalia 0.9.3 since the online version is too slow to load in a image heavy game.
It gives me this error:
"An error has occured: SetupGameData is not defined"
Anyone know where I screwed up?

There's a bug in the RAGS JavaScript export that I haven't bothered to fix either in the patched RagsLib.dll or in the Ruby install script. Specifically, if condition names end with a backslash, the game won't load.

For Evil, Inc. you can fix this by changing the name of the first condition on the "roaming shrines timer 3" timer from "lab\" to "lab"

so you could just take that and merge the latest regalia release on top of it.

I'm probably just missing something/stupid, but would you mind explaining how I can play The Lilith Device using this new Regalia version when it's online only, with no downloadable version?
Would I have to download the RAGS version and convert it manually? I'm stuck at the same place he was with the wine.

Well, while I'm at it, the Cheat for money in Wife Trainer basically breaks the money system for me, a least partially.
After using it, the game starts treating me like I don't have any money when I do. I can usually make one purchase before this starts happening, but I haven't found much consistency with it. It will usually let me spend money after increasing it manually again (I've been using increments of 1000), but only once. I've also tried earning money legitimately to see if only cheat money was no good, but that didn't seem to help.

Well, while I'm at it, the Cheat for money in Wife Trainer basically breaks the money system for me, a least partially.

This is because of the anti-cheat measures added in the latest version of Wife Trainer. The game double-checks at various points that the amount of money you're gaining/spending makes sense for where you're on in the game, and nullifies your money if it thinks you have too much.

I've had some success in the first couple of weeks by freezing the money value instead of just increasing it, but I haven't played through the full game since the anti-cheat measures were added. There's any number of places where this anti-cheat code could exist and disrupt the game either subtly or blatantly, so at this point if you want to cheat you may need to rely on mods that have removed the anti-cheat code.

Downloadable Regalia Version:

The Retreat 0.31:

You must be registered to see the links

Much better written than the average RAGS game, but the content is 50%/75% M/M, so only worthwhile if you're into or willing to put up with a lot of gay stuff.

Downloadable Regalia Version:

  - Be Aware: Pretty Gay

And for completeness sake, the latest Regalia by itself with some new fixes I had to make for Curious Town

Maybe you can add a way to filter the variables listed on the cheat menu?, on games like wife trainer with a shitload of entries it would certainly be useful.

I've rewritten the Cheat menu so that it loads faster and should now have a filter option

It's definitely possible. I don't know of any outstanding bugs making it unplayable right now, but I haven't tried to play it much because it's not my favorite genre and it seems like you need to read a wiki to know what's going on.

I can't seem to get The Retreat link to work, it just takes me to a page with an error.
