Hello, like many people as a player I like the idea of having a mind control of the characters in the games, but personally as a creator I see two problems, the first is that when you have control of someone you erase almost completely his personality, and the second is that after controlling that character there is no more challenge because it becomes basically a slave and that makes the story shorter.
The key in this game is rather the indirect side effects, these do not radically modify the personality and you can create as many side effects as the story needs to be entertaining.
Can you please elaborate on the second paragraph? Because that's what I was asking about. As I said in my original post, the "mind control" fetish doesn't only refer to the narrow definition you mentioned in your first paragraph. If you actually go to a dedicated MC erotica site, you'll find tons of more character-driven stories of people in situations where they or the people around them are subtly changed by unnatural causes. Nobody there would reject those stories for being "not real mind control". But because so many people gatekeep the term on this site, it becomes impossible to find anything like that here, with the tag only being given to games with the brute force definition from your first paragraph. Not only are there no tags for any of the various other subcategories (except Possession, I suppose), but even when I try to ask for details, people will just say "there's no real mind control" and refuse to elaborate - even when I go out of my way to try to explain what I'm talking about. It's incredibly frustrating.
(To be honest, tfgames.site did it right by naming the tag "Mental Changes", but then the site became almost exclusively dedicate to genderswap games, and 99% of the time the "MC" tag just meant "guy turns into a girl and starts acting like a girl". Which is a type of MC, yes, but now it's the only type that's there.)
So can you, or someone else, please elaborate on what kind of side effects are present, how heavily it factors into the story, and other things like that? I can't play the game until I know, since I have OCD and can't start something like this unless I intend to see it through.
Edit: (Though if I can go on a tangent, I'd like to add that even cases of "traditional" mind control can be much more subtle and lend to a good character-driven story if done right, especially in cases where it happens on accident. For example, suppose the effect of Regesterex was to "improve learning" and cause the characters to absorb information more easily for a half hour after taking the drug. Some unintended effects might be that they start to "learn" things that aren't supposed to be part of the lesson, like overhearing someone talk about how sexy the teacher is, or being called the "teacher's pet". These kinds of things can have small, gradual changes on the girls' psyche that push them towards kinky situations and relationships without completely hijacking their minds and putting them under the protagonist's control. But, again, that's not the only thing I'm looking for.)
