But for your knowledge- NTR is extremely popular. It's like the #1 tag on dlsite for 8 years in a row.

As for the game..the [Prologue]keeping me from checking it out. I'll take a look when I know devs update schedule and the game looks like it'll ever actually be completed.. because so many of these chapter 1/prologue/ games just get abandoned..

My issue with it is that they aren't Netorare, just Netorase games tagged as Netorare.

Netorare isn't about the MC accepting the cheating and becoming a cuck. It is about a process of losing the FMC and finding out about it eventually to which there is some sort of conclusion to it be it leaving her, revenge, the betrayal leading to a relationship with another, etc... It isn't about the kink, but the story.

There are many that "start" from the concept of Netorare, but just end up being a story about cucking, humiliation or really just a netori story told from the cucking/humiliation view of the MC.

It would be so much easier to figure out what these games are if they just took the time to put the proper tagging of the game. If the developer is seeking cucking/humiliation/sharing, then it should just be tagged "Netorase" and most seeking Netorare would pass it by.

There are a few developers who do this and so you don't have to invest time into the game only to find out it is a cucking/humiliation game. So it is understandable that people get annoyed by this bait and switch.

Exactly.

It is quite off putting to seek a true Netorare story only to find out that the MC is just a kink seeking cuck who enjoys the FMC cheating on him. It defeats the point of Netorare.

Does this mean v0.3.0 will go out in 2026? :LUL::LUL:

Joke aside, I know this is older game but the theme of the plot reminds me part 1 of My Husbant's Boss VN. Not sure if the MC is going to turn up to be a cuck, or a cheater husband where the boss is slowly corrupting his other half. Feels like he might bond with other employees or not a incest fun but there where some hints about the niece.

there is no tag for NETORASE buddy. Only netorare. So they ofc mostly use ntr,swinging,Exhibitionism or voyeurism.
Everyone is asking for a netorase tag for years but we dont get it somehow

hm in the opening the dev mentions netorase, but all i see here is the wife slowly being corrupted by the boss until the final scene of ch.2. but the mc is also heading towards other women during the game so it seems that it might be heading towards both spouses cheating. just that the wife is cheating first.

That is unfortunate. It helps with the additional tags (providing they use them, they don't always), but it makes it difficult to actually find true "netorare". Even the games that attempt to be somewhat Netorare always end up going down that same path of Netorase.

I think here the netarare tag is more of a NTR catch-all tag for lots of kinks (netarare/netarase/netori/cuck/hotwife). So there won't be a netarase tag to filter with unless the game title includes its and you use search instead.
Not sure how swingers/cheating got away on their own tags.
