2. No one here is suggesting that human-created works be replaced with AI slop. In my view, AI should not be considered a replacement for, BUT a complement to, humans. Not all AI-created works are slop, just as not all human-created works are slop.
3. As always, every work, whether generated by AI or humans, must be individually judged on a case-by-case basis. This rule applied before the appearance of AI generation, still applies today, and will still apply in the future to come. Avoid the tendency to generalize here and there.
4. 5 seconds, sure, but better than 0s.
5. I would say that the 90s is an AWESOME decade, but I'm biased. #GrewUpInThe90s

That being said, these two animations that oldmasterxd generated through the AI are pretty good, even if short. It may not be perfect, but not everyone will be able to achieve the perfection. While I am not saying we should not aim for perfection, I think we ought to lower our expectations.

, he had some pretty serious problems going on. TL;DR version: his computer was destroyed when his apartment got flooded, which had happened thanks to his asshole landlord neglecting the place.

The HDD was saved, and the dev also had backup copies on an external HDD. But the dev was also using that same computer for his day job, so he now had bigger problems than not being able to work on this game.

No idea if the dev found a way to deal with all of this. But the fact that he hasn't been active on patreon since March 2024 implies otherwise...
