You have to bring it to the mechanic in the Aldlyn. He is in the plaza in front of the castle.

Is the quest still active in your quest log?
Can you post the save file with the issue here? You can find the saves in the www/save folder.

The "work area" building next to Aldlyn can produce research tools. Build it first, and then advance the turns to get the tools.

From what I can see, I don't think you should have that quest.
After recruiting Elly and going to the ruin in the south of Begus, you find a broken switch, which gives you a quest to go to the mechanic. Only when you talk to the mechanic before finding the old documents in the Tower of Ash does he give you the quest to search for them.
Since the quest is skipped when you do it with the documents already in your inventory when you talk with the mechanic, I set the quest to finished, since it otherwise would remain in your questlog forever.
It seems like there are cheated items in your inventory, so that could be a possible cause for the mess. Some events are automatically advanced to the next step when the quest item is in your inventory when you talk to the npc. If you cheat, make sure not to do it with quest items, or you could get issues like this again.

I found a weird bug, when I chose to manage country, it goes to time review war and then, when I try to manage the country, both for the item and Sir edward it says this

is there a better video walkthrough for lielle's dungeon? the only one i found is done by some tool that is all over the place and is almost 40 mins fucking long to sit through. i'm at the point where i am about to say to hell with the game because i can't find the last trigger for the spikes to get to the final boss. (side note. this dungeon is an ass to do. mainly because i really hate these type of puzzle dungeons. they drive me fucking bonkers because people tend to "put in too much effort" on them -.-....esp for a porn game)
EDIT: FINALLY found my way through. no idea how i did but that is....such an annoying dungeon. linked switches and all that crap for multifunctional use....just...no. that for me is enough for it to be a single play through game only. just nope.

Either by going into the time skip test and back out, or by using the "teleport bug fix" option in the menu of the sparkling book in Ryen's bedroom, the issue should get fixed.

I'll add the fix to the uploaded game files once I know if it works.
So I'm 95% sure my save is bugged. I've been trying to get into the hellhound village and the hot springs, but even though I've done everything i need to do twice, neither is happening. Hellhound wont spawn, and the entrance to the hot springs wont trigger when i go to it.

Do you have Hellhound's maid scene? She can appear in your secret bedroom when Leneth is pregnant, but the event only has a 25% chance to appear whenever you use the teleport orb. Try to check on Hellhound in the secret bedroom a few times, while repeatedly using the teleport orb when you don't get her in the maid outfit, until you got it. Only after the maid scene can you get the event with Hellhound in the volcano to get to their village.
