The main story to bring you to the time skip isn't done yet. That's the current end of the main story.
There is the option to use the sparkling book in Ryen's bedroom to enter what is currently done of the time skip to test it, but the proper entrance will be in the next update.
As the current time skip content is a "test" phase, it's possible to go into it and back out, even though that doesn't actually makes sense story-wise. This'll be that way, until the story and the content of the time skip are properly done.

In the current events of Brad, there is a dialog on top of the castle of Aldlyn, where Brad asks Ryen what he should do for the future. Ryen can try to persuade him to stay as a girl, which doesn't happen immediately, but will lead to this route during or after the time skip events.
One of the most common mistakes is that people search in the church of Calterburry instead of the castle. If that is not the cause of your problem, can you tell me what quest you're on?

You have to go up to the floor with Jeanne's room, but instead of entering it, you go to the bottom right corner. There you can find some book shelves, which'll sparkle to show the position that you have to interact with.

I solved all the puzzles in Glen's exam, but there is one thing bothering me. In the lobby there is a book which references to a talisman which is hidden in a mirror world. Where or what is that talisman?

After reading that book, you can interact with the blue puppet in the east area of the first floor. On the other side of the puppet is a mirror, which the "mirror world" hints at.
There are multiple more puppets and objects you need to interact with, in the proper order, to eventually be able to interact with the bust on a table, which gives you a pendant/talisman that immediately disappears. This is what unlocks the stairs to the upper floors, as it's magic protects you from the magic effect that prevents people from going up.

You're probably missing her scene with the maid uniform, which takes place in Ryen's secret bedroom. It has a random chance appear once you have all requirements, which can be re-rolled by using the teleport orb.

How does one actually get to the livingsten side of the castle? I've noticed a bunch of suggestions that you're supposed to do it at night, but the only time it is night in the traitor questline is when you fight the actual traitor, did the internet just collectively missed changes to that quest?

No, what you say is correct. You have to go there during the night, and the only time that happens and you get the chance to get to that chest is during the traitor questline. Once that part of the quest is done, you missed your chance and can't get there anymore. (However, the content of the chest is really insignificant, so it's not a big loss.)

There is no other possible outcome than shown in the post war events.
It's effectively an annexation, as Central has the highest power, but it's not said directly to leave the illusion of the puppet rulers still being in power to the people and avoid rebellions or uneasiness among them.

Yes, when you go with Trey to the area in the night, you can walk around until you walk onto a spot a bit further north of the entrance. It's only during that short moment in which you can walk east to the chest first, before triggering the auto-start event for the next step. If you miss that moment, you don't get another chance.
