Man, NLT releases every 2 weeks stably. This game hasn't animations at all. Yes, there is only the one developer, but now he has patreons supporting him.

Are you - with the voice of utter conviction - comparing a dev with almost 11k Patrons at 2$ min pledge, and who according to his Patreon bio has been doing 3D work since the 90s, to (no offense) "some guy" who makes less than 200 bucks on Patreon? I fell into a bit of a rabbit hole when I was researching something for work the other day and came across the Vivid 2.0 library and a few "vintage renderings" like this one here:

Can you imagine rendering this on hardware from fucking 1992? Fuck me man, that image is two years older than I am; looking at my own experience in programming and coming back to code you've written three years ago, I can't even begin to imagine how much knowledge someone has who has been working on 3D renderings as long as this image here has been around. Who has made and learned from mistakes during all that time, who has seen several hardware setups come and go, who has deleted more renderings because they weren't satisfactory than many devs on here have created in their entire entire career ...

Regarding the longer release time. There was a poll for patreon supporters, we could choose between longer release time with more content or stay as it is. The majority wanted to wait longer for more gameplay, I am fine with it.

You shouldn't get so angry. People here are notorious malcontents. Do your thing at your own pace and release when you're ready. No matter what you do and how quickly someone will always be dissapointed with something, just how it is. You can't satisfy everyone.

For basic comments like that one, you should smile not get angry.... it's out of place on so many levels it's just funny, I love this game and ..... my only recommendation is.... do it however you want and release updates when you think is possible....don't start hating the process of making it, because someone want's something.... the game is co0L and interesting.... and your getting better with ever update, thank you!

Totally true! That's how the devs start milking. This one started with weekly updates...which was great. But now that he reached his first goal he intend to deliver every 2 months for the same amount of content. And the people barking on everyone who says the truth are just encouraging him to do so.

also dev is working a full time job . a less he or she still working on this game in dev free time he or she is doing a great job so stop talking crap and think before you speak . ok

The quick updates were what made it worth paying attention to. That's what it had going for it, along with a pretty silly/funny concept where the mc is a weird psycho.

And no, animations aren't "overrated." That's something people say to justify being unable or unwilling to make them. Good animations make sex scenes much better. If you want to see something without animations, you can go read a porn comic on e-hentai.

But to think the dev is "milking" $176 a month is absurd. That's nothing. Perhaps if you still live with your parents that seems like a lot of money in comparison to your allowance, but trust me, it's no money at all. It's understandable to be unhappy with slower updates, but don't use this fantasy as your reasoning.

It is a funny game to play and without false pretensions, unlike many of "big" and more popular games.
If it stays this way, it fits just nicely into average quality we could see in most games.

Animations are hype of horny porn-hubers. Those who usually dont need a story, dialogues etc..., yet only need animated fuck scenes repeating over and over again. So, yep, I would say, animations are overrated definitely. If you want to watch animations better watch video/movies, you have a a lot of possibilities there, including lifeselector "games".
VN porn games should be focused on the story, players choices, fine build-up and finale/rewards/sanctions..i dont see much similarities with porn-comics there.
In my book - animations could be an useful addon to a porn game/VN (definitely better than "music"), yet by no means it is something "must have".

Yeah, so true, those guys, you can see a lot of them in every game's topic, who asks for saves with "all content open" or begging devs to add gallery to game menu. I always wondering why they even interested in eroge.
