I'm curious if I'm the only one feeling this way... I really wasn't a fan of SWM1 but the second game felt ok until episode 5, even if it's not really the playfield I enjoy, to begin with.
Since the beginning, you have choices over what you decide and how you wanna play it but then all sense of freedom is thrown out of the window and you get the same old vibe from the previous season, where you can't do shit except go through a scripted story with no true options at all. The MC starts to take, once again, all the wrong decisions and lie about every single little thing, without giving you any control over how far you want to bring his degree of stupidity to. Like the dinner with Isla, it felt so... I don't know... the MC keeps telling her she could find better but suddenly he's become a white knight rushing at her door because he feel pity that her husband is cheating on her... while he's cheating on his gf plus LI? and the pants part, I mean come on can't you even become more predictable when you want to create some easy future twists ? And Emma showing at the single party they decide to throw... I mean what the hell, did the inspiration to write got flush down the toilet after episode 4 ?
I really don't get it, previous episodes were alright but now it feels like easy random drama thrown at your way instead of letting the player figure shit out for himself and build the story he wants to navigate. All the Mc's individual journey from the beginning doesn't matter anymore whatever might happen next. I get to wonder if the writer from the first season decided to pop up in the middle of this one and the other parts were written by someone else.
I really don't mean to offend anyone but I can't help feeling a big change in the direction, and as I said, was wondering if I'm the only one having this experience.
