actually, it was an issue that archive utility caused, it seems. opening the zip the unarchiver fixed that issue. I still had to open the game itself by launching the executable file directly, though. These are issues that used to be common, but seem to have been fixed by devs releasing games in the last couple years. I'd say that puts this release on the broken side in my book.

well devs have no macs necessarily so not fully tested on mac.
